It’s that time of the Week again, MOC Monday!
I try hard to find fun, interesting, and somewhat quirky creations, and tend to know what I like.
This week I’ve noticed a lot of Modular Buildings being posted on Instagram recently. I’ve always wanted to get into modular building and this has given me inspiration to do so.
MyOwnLegoCreations is this week’s MOC feature and she definitely makes interesting and fun builds, from modulars to micro-builds, Star Wars to Marvel. After seeing her latest creation it has certainly given me the incentive to get cracking myself!
The Museum modular has 3 floors and features some really well designed elements.
The architecture and detailing is top-notch, the whole building is very well designed.
The use of Tan works well and has that old building feel. Hints of Sand Green and Dark Red pieces really standout and brings the whole build together.
Just like real traditional buildings this one has the detailed statue and pillars built into its face. MyOwnLegoCreations interpretation is spot on and fits into this particular building extremely well.
The top floor features the above mentioned statue, and also a nice looking balcony with flowers and a mounted telescope.
Inside this stunning modular is where the fun comes in. Based on a Science/Space museum the contents is every child’s (and adults) dream, with Rockets, Satellites, and Space exhibits.
The Mini-builds alone are worthy of their own MOC feature. Apollo 11 and the Lunar Lander look great!
I really like this Garden Shed, and I’ve always wanted to build one myself.
I especially like the half-on/off tiles, it gives the roof an old, weathered feel.
Using a 16×16 baseplate for the roof is a smart idea. Having it slope forwards and over hanging the building itself looks really nice.
Inside are the usual bits and bobs you’d find in any average shed. Planks of wood, tools, and the all important cup of tea.
Special mention goes to this Marvel build, the home to Dr Strange.
The all important window feature, glass cases with rare artifacts, spell books & maps, and of course Dr Strange himself!
Being a Marvel fan myself I appreciate the details gone into this MOC and like it even more because of it.
Great work MyOwnLegoCreations!
