We’re back with another awesome LEGO Ideas Feature, this time taking a step back into the years of Records and Vinyl!

I have been a fan of vinyl for many years, but it wasn’t until 2024 that I could finally ramp up my love for the retro music disk. Having to re-start my collection, due to selling my previous lot of records, I now have a better player and a small but growing collection. Whilst browsing the LEGO Ideas platform I came across a brick-built one, which I just had to share with you.

The Bring Back The Retro Hype : Vinyl project by BrickMotionID is currently looking for support and it gets my vote. It looks like a great little build with many features packed into it, there is even a disk included. The top is made up of many clear bricks and pieces whilst the base is brown, although from the images there looks to be an alternative which is a black lid.

In an era dominated by digital streaming and downloads, vinyl offers a tangible and immersive music experience that resonates with enthusiasts seeking a more authentic connection to their favorite artists. – BrickMotionID

Measuring just 9.6 x 12.8 x 4.5cm and totalling 191 pieces, the build is small, but it has so much more going for it. It would be an awesome display piece and wouldn’t take up too much space, although if this were to be produced by LEGO they may see fit to upscaling it somewhat. Either way this would be very welcome in my shelf and part of my collection.

We would like to wish BrickMotionID the best of luck in gaining the required 10k support. If you like the look of this idea and would like to give your support, please use the links below. Registration is free to LEGO Ideas and only takes a minute, so head over there now and do your part!
