Pink Clicks Good with Green: LEGO® Wicked Lands On The Scene With Four New Sets

Billund, Denmark, 12 August 2024: The LEGO Group and Universal Products & Experiences today have revealed the full lineup of LEGO® Wicked products, inspired by the upcoming musical event film from Universal Pictures coming to theatres November 2024. The four new sets feature mini-dolls and fan-favourite characters such as Glinda and Elphaba, The Wizard and more. Fans will have to wait little more than a clock-tick until they are available 1st October 2024 (delivery by bubble or broom not applicable), with pre-orders opening today.

The beloved stage musical makes its way to the big screen as a generation-defining cinematic event. The untold story of the witches of Oz stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege, who has yet to discover her true heart. As they forge an unlikely friendship, their extraordinary adventures will see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

With the LEGO Wicked Elphaba & Glinda Figures set, fans can scan a QR code to play along a brick build story to the iconic tune of “Defying Gravity” from the film. The set includes accessories for the two characters with Elphaba’s broom and Glinda’s purse and crown. A buildable base quickly turns this set from an unlimited play experience, into a display model.

Wicked fans will be able to dance through life into iconic film scenes with sets such as the LEGO Wicked Welcome to Emerald City tower set, which offers a wiz-tastic view of Emerald City and includes five mini-dolls based on the film’s characters: Glinda, Elphaba, The Wizard, Madame Morrible and Fiyero.

The LEGO Wicked Glinda & Elphaba’s Dormitory set recreates the pop-u-lar location with a beautifully detailed suitcase which opens up to become the two girls’ dorm room. Fans can be inspired to play out their own stories within Oz by scanning the QR code hidden within the set to play the song “Popular” from the film and make the characters perform the dazzlifying scene, while exploring new adventures.

The LEGO Wicked Glinda, Elphaba & Nessarose at Shiz University™ set truly is the proudest sight there is. Fans get to accompany Glinda on the sailboat, which features beautiful golden detailing and a pink-shaded hinged sail, on which she first arrives at the most prestigious university in all of Oz. The set features the two-story university building, balconies, study spaces and many thrillifying details. In the building Glinda finds Elphaba and Nessarose, Elphaba’s sister.

Hidden QR codes can be found in every set for fans to unlock inspirational content to create even more pink and green LEGO Wicked moments.

“I’m truly excited that we can finally reveal our lineup of LEGO Wicked sets” said Raquel Ojeda Gregorio, LEGO Wicked Design Lead at the LEGO Group. “I am a big fan of the Wicked story, so it was an honor for me to get to work as part of an amazing team to recreate some of the unique locations, characters and storylines from the magical world of Oz. We chose some heartwarming moments from the film, so fans can bring a part of the story home and defy gravity using LEGO bricks.”

The new LEGO Wicked sets will be available for pre-order starting today, via https://www.lego.com/en-us/themes/wicked, and in LEGO stores worldwide starting October 1st.
