Last month saw the official release of the exciting new Monkie Kid theme as well as a teaser for an accompanying animated TV show.
Thanks to LEGO we can now watch the first two episodes online!Â
I sat down with my little boy (Dylan) and we started to watch, we were both instantly hooked! The animation style is stunning as well as the voice acting. The story within these two episodes introduces us to the whole gang, the Monkey King, and the baddies.
It was made by Australian animation studio, Flying Bark Productions, who also produced the latest TMNT – Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
As of yet the series has only premiered in Malaysia, but will soon be available Worldwide.
Here in the UK Channel 5 are rumoured to have it exclusively.

Official details:
The tale begins when an ordinary boy, Monkie Kid, finds Monkey King’s legendary staff, and he becomes the chosen one. Together with his brave and loyal friends, Monkie Kid begins his quest to stop the Demon Bull King and his army of Bull Clones from taking over the city.
A long time ago, the great Monkey King ruled and protected the land. Until one day, the Demon Bull King attacked and tried to destroy everything in his path. But the Monkey King was clever. He used his magical staff to trap the demon inside the Flower Fruit Mountain, forever. And the world has been safe to this day. But when fate leads MK, a noodle delivery boy, to find the Monkey King’s long-forgotten staff, his life spins into an epic adventure he could never have imagined. A new legend is born.
