The Micro Control Centre (40708) has officially been unveiled by LEGO Ideas!

Following our first look at the set earlier in the week, it has now been officially announced by LEGO Ideas along with a couple of important details. The set comes from the LEGO Ideas Exploring the Cosmos building contest held last year, with the winning design to become a LEGO set. The build features a micro control centre based on the LEGO Classic Space theme, it even has a mini monorail and a Space Baby figure.

It will be an Insiders Reward and cost 2,000 points to redeem. You’ll be able to grab it from tomorrow, 1st March, where a purchase will need to be made in order to get it sent out. This is the first of two sets to be designed by fans for a Space themed challenge last year.

Official details:

We’re so excited to reveal the LEGO® Ideas 40786 Micro Command Center, which was discovered in our “Exploring The Cosmos” Challenge back in 2024. Submitted originally as ‘Base: Micro Rail Command Center‘ by LEGO Ideas Fan Designer Flying UFO also known as Fred!.

This set features railroad tracks with a platform, a control tower with a removable roof, a shuttle, and a micro space character that can be seated inside the shuttle and command office. A great space gift for adults, the play-and-display model with 214 elements becomes cool LEGO decor once it’s complete.

This LEGO Insiders Reward will be available from the 1st of March, for 2000 LEGO® Insiders Points as long as stocks last. For full details of the promotion, please visit LEGO.com from the 1st of March, 2025.

Congratulations to Fred!
