We have teamed up once again with Minifigs.me to bring you these characters, showing you what this brilliant company has to offer and where to pickup your very own. The team do such an awesome job of recreating our favourite characters, all whilst using a base of genuine LEGO parts.

When browsing their extensive list of products we came across these hilarious BOTTOM characters. This is a show that many of the British AFOLs (adult fan of LEGO) today grew up watching in the early 90s, I was one of them. I still chuck on the odd episode now & then and sit there laughing, it never gets old.

Both Minifigures not only look awesome and true to their on-screen counterpart, but also packs in the smaller details that make the characters funny and lovable.

For me personally Richie just out does Eddie in terms of looks and details, from his scrunched-up  custom face print that captures the iconic look that the late & great Rik Mayall used to pull, to the scruffy shirt and half open flies, he’s in the same sorry state we remember him from the show.

Eddie is a great Minifigure too with his iconic brown suit and matching trilby. This chap used to start most of the violence in the show, bashing Richie with a cricket bat on many occasion. It’s a shame LEGO haven’t produced a cricket bat yet, it would be a perfect accompaniment to this duo. You’ll just have to enjoy this photo of a hammer to the groin instead!

These characters are perfect for popping into MOCs and scenes and recreating iconic images from the show. Add the highly talented work from Minifigs.me and bosh, you’re onto a winning combination. When browsing their extensive list of products we came across the Alien characters, with Alien Day fast approaching we knew these would go down extremely well so we just had to have them. They not only look awesome, there are so many to collect, the whole Alien & Aliens team are there, waiting to be added to your collection.

For me personally Ripley had to be one of the first Minifigures I picked up, she is after all the star of the franchise. This iteration of the character made more sense to me as the style and clothing were different to that of the first film, she looks so badass in her white torn vest, ripped jeans and ammo belt!

Kane was a no-brainer to get next, it was the Space suit that grabbed my attention. So much detail beautifully packed onto a Minifigure, it’s truly surprising just how much can fit, the team have done a fantastic job.

The entire Minifigure is covered in print, even under the arms. There is a face-hugger on his visor, granted it’s a little on the small side but epic none-the-less.

Creating a small MOC (my own creation) was essential to capturing the characters and taking better photographs to show them off. It wasn’t a very big MOC, it’s more of a background really. Being mostly black the backdrop and layered details were hard to capture, but adding a little light highlighted the rounded edges and the end results were great, recreating a scene from The Aliens film.

The Flamethrower isn’t included with the Minifigure, this was my own design, please feel free to copy it as I think it works rather well.

The tiles are also available from Minifigs.me and are a great addition as they also refer to Aliens, ok not the Xenomorph kind but extraterrestrials in general. These will be put into a new MOC sometime soon to show them off in all their glory, so watch this space for that.

This week’s Minifigure Monday  Luna Lovegood! (COLHP27) from the Lego Harry Potter CMF Series 2.

Being a big fan of Harry Potter I chose one of my favourite minifigures from the Harry Potter Series 2 CMF.

My thoughts:

This is such a great minifigure of Luna Lovegood.

It resembles Luna when she wears her magical Lion hat in support for Gryffindor in a quidditch match. 

The head piece is really cool! 

A hair piece is also provided for when she isn’t wearing the hat.

The face of the minifigure can be seen through the hat when worn.

She has 2 face options, one with a happy smile and another more straight face grin. 

The torso is really nice, matching closely to her jumper worn in the movie.

This continues down to the legs with her pink jeans and boots.

Luna wouldn’t be complete without a wand as an accessory.

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Pug Costume Guy (COL378) from the LEGO CMF series 21.

With us having a pug in the family, it was only a matter of time this one showed up for Minifigure Monday 

My thoughts:

This one is a really fun minifigure, which is a man in a Pug suit.

The head piece is really cool! Resembling the head of a Pug. The face of the minifigure can be seen through the mouth piece of the Pug head piece. 

He has 2 face options, one having a cheeky grin with his tongue out to the side and the other being a more of a smile with his tongue out like a happy dog. 

The torso is a little plain with a red and white neck scarf, but what is funny is on the back he has a little curled Pug tail.

The legs are short bendable with some paw prints. 

As an accessory he comes with a teal bone, why teal? I don’t know!

This week’s Minifigure Monday Crayon Girl (TLM152) from the LEGO Movie 2 CMF series.

My thoughts:

This one is a really fun minifigure, which resembles a purple crayon.

Including the crayon costume which sits over the minifigure, it is made up of 4 pieces in total. The mix of purples and the flowers on the crayon really adds a cuteness to this crayon girl. She has 2 different face options and also comes with a printed tile with a purple Lego head doodle.
