If the rumours are true then the game will basically be Horizon Forbidden West but in LEGO form and feature realistic graphics. There have also been rumblings of a trailer dropping at this year’s Summer Game Fest 2024 in June. Being a fan of the games myself and of course the LEGO Tallneck from 2022, I really hope this is true and brings with it a whole new range of sets to match.

As we already know LEGO has been in partnership with Sony before with the aforementioned set. The inclusion of the exclusive Aloy Minifigure too made the LEGO Tallneck set very sought-after. More characters and mechanoid creatures would be very welcome in my book. What do you make of this rumour? Would you like it to be true? Share your comments below.

LEGO Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree (77092) Rumoured For 2024! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-legend-of-zelda-great-deku-tree-77092-rumoured-for-2024/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-legend-of-zelda-great-deku-tree-77092-rumoured-for-2024/#respond Sat, 20 Jan 2024 18:21:38 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=34927 There is a rumour circulating that we could be getting a LEGO Legend of Zelda set!

The Great Deku Tree (77092) has a speculated release of September 2024 and will comprise of around 2,500 pieces. For those that aren’t familiar with the Great Deku Tree, it first appears in Ocarina of Time and later in The Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom, it’s the guardian of the Kokiri.

Image: Nintendo

Also suggested and highly likely is the presence of multiple Minifigure characters from Hyrule including Link with his Hylian Shield. At this time certain details are still unknown, the price is anyone’s guess, but with the part count, license and potential Minifigure lineup it might be around $300

Of course we know LEGO has been working closely with Nintendo as we have LEGO Super Mario and Donkey Kong themed sets. It was only a matter of time they added to the lineup of gaming sets. Zelda has proven popular over the years by the amount of LEGO Ideas submissions that have gained the required support but sadly fell short in review stage.

What do you think of this potential news? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. As always please take all the above information with a pinch of salt, these are purely rumours at present.

Rumour: LEGO Icons Historic McLaren F1 car (10330) https://www.thebrickpost.com/rumours/rumour-lego-icons-historic-mclaren-f1-car-10330/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/rumours/rumour-lego-icons-historic-mclaren-f1-car-10330/#respond Wed, 22 Nov 2023 13:10:45 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=32782 Let’s be clear, this is based on speculative reports and should be treated as such. However, since the source is often right there might be truth to this. So thanks to brick_clicker for reporting, now let’s get into it…

So the rumour is we’re getting 1993’s McLaren MP4/8 in LEGO Icons next year. The set should release in March 2024, consist of 693 pieces, retail at $79.99 and include an Ayrton Senna minifigure.

LEGO already has a licensing partnership with McLaren so that would make this not unlikely. F1 is ever more popular after the Netflix series ‘Drive To Survive’ and McLaren is an iconic team with a long heritage. Meanwhile, Ayrton Senna remains one of the most respected driver’s in the sport’s history. The MP4/8 is the car that Senna drove to his last victory 30 years ago.

However, I’m surprised by this choice. The car didn’t bring a championship to either team or driver. So when considering classic McLaren F1 cars I’d expect the 1988 MP4/4 instead of this one. That car won all but one race (and of course the championships) and was raced by not only Senna, but also Alain Prost, another great champion.

So this makes me question the rumour a bit, it doesn’t fully make sense to me.

What do you think? Is this a great historic F1 car to make an official LEGO set of? Or are you as surprised by the choice? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Nostalgic LEGO Icons Subtheme Rumoured! https://www.thebrickpost.com/rumours/nostalgic-lego-icons-subtheme-rumoured/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/rumours/nostalgic-lego-icons-subtheme-rumoured/#respond Sun, 13 Aug 2023 09:23:38 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=30013 Over the past decade or so, LEGO hasn’t been shying away from nostalgia, sometimes more subtle than other times. Quite a few themes have been referenced for stickers in sets or torso prints for (CMF) Minifigures. After the success of the LEGO Ideas Barracuda Bay set we have gotten quite a few remakes of classic sets. These sets appear to be mostly targeted at AFOLs born in the seventies and eighties, bringing back sets from our childhood.

Before I discuss the rumour and it’s potential in more detail there needs to be a big disclaimer of course! These are unconfirmed rumours and should be treated as such. I consider the sources credible enough to post about it, but at the same time release schedules can and might change. Sets being cancelled last-minute also has been occuring. So take this with a healthy pinch of salt.

After we’ve seen the release of Eldorado Fortress this year, it’s rumoured we will see 2 new nostalgic sets released next year. These are rumoured to be part of a new ‘LEGO Moments‘ subtheme as originally shared by @brick_clicker.

The first of these will be number 10391, a large black spaceship (possibly Blacktron) containing 966 pieces with 2 minifigures. This set will probably release in April 2024. The second set, numbered 10392, is also claimed to be part of this LEGO Moments subtheme. However no specifics are rumoured about this set at the moment.

Furthermore there have been rumours going round in the last few months that 2024 will see the return of BIONICLE. These rumours are also unconfirmed at the moment but it’s possible that a BIONICLE set would fit in the nostalgic LEGO theme. Other rumours suggest a Medieval Market might be on the cards, finally bringing back the Goat figure. Time will tell if any of these rumours come true.

So what are you hoping for? What would you love to see returning if LEGO produces more nostalgic sets? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

LEGO Animal Crossing Theme Rumoured for 2024! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-animal-crossing-theme-rumoured-for-2024/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-animal-crossing-theme-rumoured-for-2024/#respond Fri, 04 Aug 2023 06:26:51 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=29824 Rumours have surfaced of a brand new theme coming in 2024, if true we will be seeing a bunch of LEGO Animal Crossing sets next year!

There have been many LEGO Ideas submissions based on the hit Nintendo game, which sadly never made it into production, now we know why, LEGO will be creating the line themselves. So far a total of 5 LEGO Animal Crossing sets have been rumoured to released March 2024.

  • 77046 – 170 pieces/$14.99
  • 77047 – 164 pieces/$19.99
  • 77048 – 233 pieces/$29.99
  • 77049 – 389 pieces/$39.99
  • 77050 – 535 pieces/$74.99

It’s still far too early to tell if this is true and to take it with a pinch of salt, but for now at least fans can be a little excited about the news. Let us know what you think via the comments section below.

Speculation: Are We Getting These LEGO Dreamzzz Sets? https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/speculation-are-we-getting-these-lego-dreamzzz-sets/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/speculation-are-we-getting-these-lego-dreamzzz-sets/#respond Mon, 17 Apr 2023 20:21:07 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=26406 After watching today’s teaser trailersI had a closer look and tried to find as many impressions of sets as possible. This is based on an unconfirmed list, published by Promobricks. All prices could be subject to change. Also I want to emphasize this interpretation with screenshots is speculation from my side. Some of this might turn out to be true, others might be proven to be something else entirely. But it’s fun to guess until we have the official pictures. All sets are rumored to release in August. The theme appears to be based on things a child might build if they build something from their fantasy which gives us quite some quirky images.

30636 Z-Blob and Bunchu Spider (?pcs/$4.99)

Based on set number and price this will probably be a small polybag, couldn’t spot any references in the teaser trailers. No piece count known so far.

71453 Izzie and Bunchu the Bunny (259pcs/$19.99)

I can imagine this being something like the Big angry Unikitty set from The LEGO Movie 2.

71454 Mateo and Z-Blob the Robot (237pcs/$19.99)

Really unsure about this, but this character looks a bit like a robot to me. It might just be Z-Blob.

71455 Grimkeeper the Cage Monster (274pcs/$34.99)

Couldn’t really find a Cage Monster in the trailers. If you think you found it, leave a comment below.

71456 Mrs. Castillo’s Turtle Van (434 pcs/$44.99)

One of my personal favorites from these. A crossover between a VW camper and a big turtle, looks to be some sort of food truck.

71457 Pegasus Flying Horse (482pcs/$49.99)

This was a hard one to get a good picture, but it seems this is one of the 3 vehicles chasing each other in Zane’s dream.

71458 Crocodile Car (494pcs/$59.99)

This appeared in two dreams, a rather funny looking crocodile with a car on his back. Should provide a fun set. Like a few of these, really getting LEGO movie vibes for these sets. They had some wild fantasy sets as well.

71459 Stable of the Dream Creatures (681pcs/$79.99)

Another wild guess, but I can imagine a LEGO set featuring these colorful creatures, in some stable like setting. The reindeer mold would suit a recolor like this. And I’m already anticipating this with great enthusiasm.

71460 Mr. Oz’s Spacebus (878pcs/$89.99)

Part schoolbus, part spaceship. Not hard to imagine this being made into a set.

71461 Fantastical Treehouse (1,257pcs/$99.99)

I couldn’t spot a clear image for this. There’s quite a few floating trees in Nya’s dream so this might be an indication. But it might just as well be something completely different.

71469 Knightmare Shark Ship (1,389pcs/$139.99)

The biggest set from the wave. It looks to be an impressive and aggressive Shark Spaceship. This reminds me more of the Ninjago Movie shark set.

And finally there’s this dragon. Can’t match it to any of these sets base on names, but seeing the popularity of LEGO dragons among several themes it’s likely to be included in a set in this theme.

So what are your thoughts on the sets, matching set names to the four trailers. Did you spot any other possible sets? Are you looking forward to these sets? Let’s discuss!

LEGO 100 Years of Disney Minifigures (71038) Potential Character List! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-100-years-of-disney-minifigures-71038-potential-character-list/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-100-years-of-disney-minifigures-71038-potential-character-list/#respond Tue, 17 Jan 2023 21:20:21 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=24248 We have heard rumblings that the next CMF (Collectable Minifigures) series will be another Disney outing, but this time it’ll be a rather special anniversary edition, titled 100 Years Of Disney!

Thanks to the Back2Brick podcast we could have a list of potential characters that have made it into the series, these are as follows:

  • Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (Disney shorts)
  • Pinocchio with fish bowl (Pinocchio)
  • Jiminy Cricket with Umbrella (Pinocchio)
  • Sorcerer Mickey with Bucket and Mop (Sorcerer’s Apprentice)
  • Princess Tiana with printed 2×3 tile (Princess and the Frog)
  • Dr. Facilier with printed 1×2 tile and walking stick (Princess and the Frog)
  • Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland)
  • Princess Aurora with owl (Sleeping Beauty)
  • Mulan with Cri-Kee on printed stone (Mulan)
  • Ernesto de la Cruz with Guitar (Coco)
  • Miguel Rivera with Guitar and dog Dante (Coco)
  • Pocahontas with 1×1 round tile with compass print (Pocohontas)
  • Cruella de Vil with Dalmatian (101 Dalmatians)
  • Robin Hood with Bow (Robin Hood)
  • Prince John with Bag (Robin Hood)
  • Stitch with four arms and Ray Guns (Lilo and Stitch)
  • Baymax with Red Hoverboard (Big Hero Six)
  • Evil Queen with Magic Mirror (Snow White)

You’ll agree that the choices are varied and include some iconic characters from the Disney family. They pull from some classic movies that really get the nostalgia juices flowing, who knew they’d include characters from Robin Hood made in 1973?!

The inclusion of the Evil Queen but lack of Snow White is unforgiving, unless LEGO have other plans and release a dedicated Snow White and the Seven Dwarves set? Who knows but I’m sure it would sell extremely well.

Please note that this list is unofficial and unconfirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt, hopefully it is a sign of things to come and personally I am very excited and can’t wait.

LEGO 90th Anniversary Lion King’s Castle (10305) Set Details! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-90th-anniversary-lion-kings-castle-10305-set-details/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-90th-anniversary-lion-kings-castle-10305-set-details/#comments Mon, 23 May 2022 14:03:14 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=18879 Update: The LEGO Lion Knights’ Castle (10305) has been fully revealed here!

The LEGO 90th Anniversary Lion King’s Castle (10305) set has had quite a substantial detail update over the last couple of days thanks to PromoBricks and others from the community.

This will be the largest LEGO Castle & Knights set to ever exist and is set to be a knockout, especially the speculated RRP which comes in at a whopping €349.99 – *gulp*!

It’ll be a trip down nostalgia lane when this set releases, for some, as it was once a very popular line of sets. I personally missed out on everything LEGO as I’ve only recently got back into it after an approx 30 year gap.

The details that have been confirmed are it’ll consist of a huge amount of pieces, coming in at 4,514, contain 21 Minifigures including:

  • Queen
  • Majisto (Wizard)
  • 9 Lion Knights
  • 2 Falcon Knights
  • 2 Forestmen
  • Forestmen Child
  • Maid
  • Farmer
  • Baker
  • Boy
  • Skeleton.

As we shared many week’s ago the Castle may have already been revealed via the teaser/announcement video for the recently release LEGO Back to the Future Delorean (10300). They went back in time to Medieval times and a Castle could be spotted in the background. The loose sketches we’ve seen for the Castle does look very similar to the one seen above, and as always LEGO love to hide upcoming sets in plain sight!

Have LEGO Teased The 90th Anniversary Castle Set?

It will be a big set too measuring half a metre squared when folded, just like the original LEGO Lion King’s Castle. Features a drawbridge that can be raised & lowered, a dungeon with two cells including an escape route, a kitchen with working watermill wheel, a treasury, the Queen’s chambers, and a dining room.

Whilst the set does sound rather impressive and one any self respecting LEGO Castle fan should have, the 90th Anniversary with a LEGO Castle set is probably priced out of most fans budgets coming in at €349.99. Will you be grabbing this day one? Let us know in the comment below.

I would honestly have preferred that they released a smaller set with a cheaper price point and if anyone wanted to create a larger castle, can just buy multiple sets like the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Castle (31120) from last year.

The set is speculated for an August release which is the actual anniversary month of LEGO so it makes a while lot of sense to launch it then.

New Details Rumoured For LEGO Transformers Optimus Prime (10302)! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-details-rumoured-for-lego-transformers-optimus-prime-10302/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-details-rumoured-for-lego-transformers-optimus-prime-10302/#respond Tue, 10 May 2022 08:29:14 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=18505 A handful of new details emerged surrounding the upcoming rumored LEGO Transformers Optimus Prime (10302) set!

Thanks to Promobricks, the set is due to be released in June with a special VIP Early Access event taking place before, perfect for picking up the set before anyone else.

The piece count of 1,508 has also been rumoured along with which iteration it’ll be modelled on, the G1 version of Optimus Prime, not the delayed Rise of the Beasts movie as previously thought.

Of course the main feature, and the most exciting one, is the transformation between Optimus Prime and the Truck. It is said you can transform between the two without removing any pieces!

There’ll be a ton of accessories too including an Ion Blaster, Energon Axe, Allspark, and a jetpack. There will also be a plaque detailing his specifications.

All the above information will reflect on the price which comes in at €169.99, a little bit steep if you ask me, until we start seeing product images I may change my opinion.

Please take the above rumoured information with a pinch on salt, these are rumours at the and of the day until either confirmed or denied.
