This week’s LEGO Ideas Feature is brought to you by DisneyBrick55 and their Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious take on a classic movie, Mary Poppins, Back to Cherry Tree Lane!
We’ve featured this idea before, but sadly it didn’t make it to production, even though it made it into the review stage. So here it is again, in all it’s glory. I so wish this set would be produced and made by LEGO, it’s a staple of British film making and so many people know of Mary Poppins either from the classic or the newer movie outing.
For this project, we joined our culture and our passion for LEGO and Mary Poppins in order to recreate the lovely cherry tree lane street – DisneyBrick55
The set takes inspiration from the street on which the Banks family live. It features great architecture and colours, along with film references and more. This would make a great addition to anyone’s display especially fans of Mary Poppins.
The design is open-back and again includes scene from the movie including the living room, stairs, bathroom, bedroom and loft. The neighbours houses are included too and also feature iconic room sets and items.

There are a ton of Minifigures included too, 11 to be precise, these are: Mary Poppins (1964), Bert, Jane, Mickael, Mr Banks, Admiral Boom, Mary Poppins (2018), Mr Dawes Jr, John, Annabel and George. They all look great and you can instantly recognise who is who, if you’re familiar with the films of course.
The set overall is great fun and one I’d purchase day one if given the chance. Come on LEGO, this needs to be produced! We would like to wish DisneyBrick55 the best of luck in promoting and gaining the required 10k supporters needed to get this product idea to the next stage.
