One of the most coveted LEGO pieces are the goats. They appeared in just 1 set (7189 Mill Village Raid from 2011). Both goat and set have become extremely pricey on aftermarket sites like Bricklink. Prices for used goats starting at €55. There are some knock off brands selling cheaper replicas online. They look reasonably good, but for purists it’s just not the same as real LEGO

Over the years the goat has become really popular in the AFOL (adult fan of LEGO) community. Some custom printing companies even offer tiles with a ‘missing goat’ design for purchase.

In the last year I’ve seen a few builders make big models for the Goat. Luckily one of them has now shown up on LEGO Ideas. Builder Pezz recently uploaded the ‘Maximum Goat’. It also has a ‘grass’ baseplate with big studs to display the model on.

It’s a faithful representation on a 6:1 scale. I really like the detail in this idea, as it’s properly curved, has the stud on top and tiles give it a spotted pattern. Even some attention has gone to anatomical details on the inside. No stickers will be needed and only the eyes will require prints. Furthermore the part count is rather modest compared to all the big expensive Ideas sets we’ve been getting the last few years. Just the goat contains 490 pieces and combined with the baseplate the total will be 602 pieces. The build mostly contains existing elements, with 3 exceptions (these are not specified by the builder). I’m sure that if this idea makes it to production, the set will become the Greatest Of All Time!

We would like to wish Pezzz the best of luck in gaining the required 10k support. If you like the look of this idea and would like to give your support, please use the links below. Registration is free to LEGO Ideas and only takes a minute, so head over there now and do your part!

    1. Wow, cool!
The parts not available in the correct color are the arches (88292) and a brick with studs on side ( 32952) in the horns in Dark Tan.
Then there are 1×2 inverted slopes with cut out (2310) in white which i had to use to avoid an “illegal” building technique.
