Arrrr matey, this week’s LEGO Ideas feature be brought to yee by Bricky_Brick and their arrr-some Pirate Themed Restaurant!

That’s enough of the Pirate puns, onto the feature itself, which is too of my favourite themes mashed together, Modulars and Pirates. What Bricky_Brick has done here is thought outside the LEGO box and produced something both creative and fun. We’ve all been to or heard about themed restaurants, there’s one with a Jungle inside it, so why not a Pirate one – I’m sure somewhere in the world there is.

It fits on a 32×32 plate, just like other Modulars, it even has the grey walkway tiles and curbs. But there one thing you wouldn’t expect to see sticking out of an innocent looking tan-coloured town building, a ruddy big Skull wearing a Pirate hat. This is the whole charm of the design and layout, if I were walking along and saw this I’d have to go in.

Surely you have ever gone to a themed restaurant and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, this themed restaurant called The Old Skull is my proposal for your LEGO City – Bricky_Brick

Also on the exterior is a section of the Ship, with cannons, a telescope, balcony and other Pirate themed treasures. The ordinary looking apartment build is nice too with its tan walls and grey accents, there’s even a garden terrace on the roof.

The apartment is where the restaurant goers can stay after there meal next door. It comes fully furnished with Pirate memorabilia including a compass, olde note and more. The bed is a great size and design, along with the drawers and other furniture, especially the large fireplace.

The model is a corner-shaped building, it has three floors, an accessible roof terrace and is compatible with LEGO modular buildings – Bricky_Brick

The Pirate themed restaurant itself is very spacious and is fully kitting out in Piratey things. You’re greeted by a Monkey holding the guest book, followed by many Pirate staff rushing around serving. The atmosphere is cosy with many candles and lamps to light-up the tables. There are barrels, palm leaves, lots of wood and cauldrons fulled with delicious stew.

In true Modular style, the floors can be detached to allow access to each floor. respecting the official concept. You can clearly below each floor is a nice shape and corresponds to the one below it, the apart building slowly takes over nearer the top of the building, but the true charm to this set is the Pirate themed restaurant jutting out and invading the street.

Included are 7 Minifigures, a Monkey, Shark and Seagull, the perfect Pirate crew and it’s guests – hopefully you aren’t made to walk the plank!

The set overall is great fun and one I’d purchase day one if given the chance. Come on LEGO, this needs to be produced! We would like to wish Bricky_Brick the best of luck in promoting and gaining the required 10k supporters needed to get this product idea to the next stage.

Please, if you like the idea, support it using the official link below. Check out their other ideas too, they have a whole lot of good sets on offer.
