Were heading back to LEGO Ideas for our feature this week and I’ve chosen a submission that would ‘slot’ perfectly into the gaming line of sets!

Tetris Solid by VictorVey300 is the type of product idea I like, it not only looks the bees knees but it also comes self contained in its own box. From the outside it’s a bright & colourful design, with the word Tetris at the top in big tiled letters. Along the bottom at the classic Tetris shapes, again in the multitude of colours we see in the game.

Launching back in 1985, the game is a staple in history and most likely a game people of a certain age have played at one point in their lives. This new version, created by VictorVey300, is based on the original Tetris game that we all know and love, but in 3D brick-built LEGO form. The aim is to socrr the higher amount of points, simple right?

Tetris is a tetromino puzzle video game made by Alexey Pajitnov. The game launched back in 1985. Since then the game has gained world popularity throughout many decades. VictorVey300

As I mentioned above, this will fit well into the already popular LEGO Gaming theme, especially alongside the Pac-Man Arcade set. This Tetris build also pays homage to its creator and the upcoming 40th Anniversary. There is a small build ithay includes Alexey Pajitnov in his Office. It can be accessed from inside a hidden compartment in the Tetris set.

Even though this is a new game, majority of the rules are not so different from the original Tetris. VictorVey300

I’ve been gaming for a good chunk of my life and would love to have this set as part of my display. If LEGO decide to make this a reality I don’t think they would need to change much, it’s great as it is and works perfectly as a self-contained box, you could even take it travelling with you.

We would like to wish VictorVey300 the best of luck in gaining the required 10k support. If you like the look of this idea and would like to give your support, please use the links below. Registration is free to LEGO Ideas and only takes a minute, so head over there now and do your part!
