This week’s LEGO Ideas feature is brought to you by Briquette81186 and their incredible The POP Modular Space House!
Today’s feature is completely different to what we’ve showcased before and is themed around Space. It’s bright, colourful and fun, and incorporates a Family feel to the whole idea.
Inspired by ‘classic space’, this family of 4 is accompanied by their robot and their parrot on all their adventures.
The Space House itself stands proud on stilts to keep if off the ground and away from critters and rough terrain. It is based on Space Exploration, taking elements from both a classic house and a space station. Its large body allows for large windows, perfect for the in-house laboratory, complete with telescope on the roof. At the heart of the house is impressive living quarters, where the family can gather and tell each other their stories from the day.
Included in the idea is a 3-in-1 style space vehicle, where Explorers can either travel long distances at high speeds aboard the 3-reactor ship, or traverse rocky terrain in the spider-like vehicle, or climb aboard the small flying or wheeled vehicles to toodle around the base. All of these can be built from the same collection of components.
With their spaceships, they will discover and inhabit planets that have never been explored before.
The idea is inspired by the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection, but with a Space Exploration aesthetic. The aim is to make the most of the modularity of LEGO construction by combining different modules, using elements in a multitude of ways. The exploration of space will inevitably involve an economy of materials. Being able to use the same element for different purposes is part of this. The Space House could give rise to numerous constructions on the theme of ‘how to inhabit new planets’.
There are no limits to the imagination of builders, allowing them to explore infinite horizons.
The set overall is great fun and one I’d purchase if given the chance. Come on LEGO, this needs to be produced! We would like to wish Briquette81186 the best of luck in promoting and gaining the required 10k supporters needed to get this product idea to the next stage.
Please, if you like the idea, support it using the official link below. Check out their other ideas too, they have a whole lot of good sets on offer.
