It first appeared alongside this years LEGO Icons Natural History Museum (10326) Modular set in a product image, now we have official images that hint it’s real and coming soon!
The LEGO Icons Retro Food Truck (40681) would be a perfect accompaniment to the aforementioned Modular Buildings Collection set. It’s inspired by small and self-contained food trucks and comes in a white and pale blue colour scheme.
It also comes bundled with 2 Minifigures, a cook and a customer. Looking at the images we get a better sense of what is included in the 310 piece set, a decent sized vehicle with a canopy and condiment shelf, an A-board with stickers and 2 Minifigures.
The roof can be lifted off to reveal the kitchen area with a couple of drinks, French fries and more. It does look a little cramped inside but that’s fine as the outside looks great and in keeping with the Minifigure scale and 6 stud wide vehicles that fit on with LEGO road plates.
According to BrickClicker, we may see this as a GWP (gift with purchase) relatively soon. The exact release date and spend threshold is yet to be confirmed, watch this space for all the latest news!
