Earlier today LEGO Star Wars Designers and other Fan Media outlets got together and were shown and discussed various aspects of the upcoming UCS Republic Gunship, followed by a Q&A sessions.
The lead designer, Hans Burkhard Schlömer, who worked on
sets including UCS Millennium Falcon (#75192), Betrayal at Cloud City (#75222) and UCS A-wing Starfighter (#75275).
One of the main details discussed was the cockpit, which consists of two canopy pieces (50986). The printing, when lined up, gives the overall look of one piece. This gives it an estimated size of around 50-55cm and with it a suggestion of a small coffee table will be needed to display the set!
It’s release is slated for later this Year so watch this space!
