A brand new contest has been revealed over at LEGO Ideas and it’s the first of the LEGO 90 Years of Play celebrational contests!
The contest requires builders to recreate their favourite LEGO set but in micro-scale which basically means you shrink down a set and build using smaller parts, just like LEGO Architecture.
One winner will be selected that will receive an awesome LEGO prize bundle that features all of the current 90 Years of Play sets, and yes that includes magnificent LEGO Lion Knights’ Castle and LEGO Classic Space Galaxy Explorer.

90th Anniversary – Micro-scale Celebration
So August 10th is a pretty important date. As it’s our 90th Anniversary! To celebrate this, we’re launching a handful of mini-contests in the run-up to our birthday. And this is the first! There will be one each week, for 5 weeks. But you’d better be quick as they will only be open for 2 weeks. All of the judging will happen on August 4th and all the winners will be contacted the same day.
We did mention in a recent blog, that we would give you the chance to win some of the sets you helped make a reality thanks to our Fan Vote we ran in February last year. Well, this is it!
We all have a favorite LEGO set right?! Like, your favorite LEGO set of ALL time? Could you build that in micro-scale to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of The LEGO Group?
Join in the first of a handful of contests celebrating… what was it again? Oh yeah, our 90th Birthday!
- Please note, we are looking for creations that are not based on any third-party intellectual properties (IPs). So please don’t build creations based on Star Wars for instance.
- You also cannot submit an entry to this contest and then submit it to another contest we run as part of the 90th Anniversary Celebrations.
