Today marks the release of the highly anticipated sequel to EA‘s 2019 Star Wars game Jedi: Fallen Order game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor!

Having played the new game for around 3 hours this morning, it’s made me have a look back at the first and only LEGO set based on Fallen Order. This set came out a few years after the game release but man, it was worth the wait!

Cal Kestis’ trusty sidekick BD-1 stands at 31cm tall & despite it looking quite fragile is super sturdy. Its colour pallet is true to the games basic mechanics. Although a future accessory pack for this would be incredible – as my BD-1 in the game changed to Yellow once I’d unlocked the paint.

Just like in the game, BD-1 holds health Stim Canisters which are stored in a little draw in the side of its head. The antennas are fully poseable & the head can be moved to one side to give a more emotional, concerning look.

The legs are very clever, using exposed technic to make it look more robotic. ‘Whips’ / ‘Ropes’ to make the exposed wires seem more authentic to the original look.

Just like with the 2021 R2-D2 Set, BD-1 comes with its own plaque.
Like it’s counterpart, Unfortunately this is another sticker based plaque. With just enough space to hold a minifig of BD-1.

The price point of this set is £89.99, which when you look at some of the price points for sets coming out in recent times (I’m looking at you Endor Speeder Chase) it is actually really reasonable.

With 1062 pieces, there’s not much to complain about with this set. If you’re a fan of the game & haven’t got this yet, or you’re just a massive fan of droids, I would highly recommend it. Remember we are getting 2x VIP points next week with the May the 4th promo week going live so it might be worth checking out.
