This week’s Minifigure Monday  Luna Lovegood! (COLHP27) from the Lego Harry Potter CMF Series 2.

Being a big fan of Harry Potter I chose one of my favourite minifigures from the Harry Potter Series 2 CMF.

My thoughts:

This is such a great minifigure of Luna Lovegood.

It resembles Luna when she wears her magical Lion hat in support for Gryffindor in a quidditch match.

The head piece is really cool!

A hair piece is also provided for when she isn’t wearing the hat.

The face of the minifigure can be seen through the hat when worn.

She has 2 face options, one with a happy smile and another more straight face grin.

The torso is really nice, matching closely to her jumper worn in the movie.

This continues down to the legs with her pink jeans and boots.

Luna wouldn’t be complete without a wand as an accessory.

Minifigure information:

  • Name: Luna Lovegood
  • Number: COLHP27
  • Released: 2020
  • Sets: 1, Harry Potter Series 2 CMF
  • Parts: 5 (including hair piece)
  • Accessories: 1 (wand)
  • Current Value: New: £3.35 / Used: £2.62

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Pug Costume Guy (COL378) from the LEGO CMF series 21.

With us having a pug in the family, it was only a matter of time this one showed up for Minifigure Monday 😃

My thoughts:

This one is a really fun minifigure, which is a man in a Pug suit.

The head piece is really cool! Resembling the head of a Pug. The face of the minifigure can be seen through the mouth piece of the Pug head piece.

He has 2 face options, one having a cheeky grin with his tongue out to the side and the other being a more of a smile with his tongue out like a happy dog.

The torso is a little plain with a red and white neck scarf, but what is funny is on the back he has a little curled Pug tail.

The legs are short bendable with some paw prints.

As an accessory he comes with a teal bone, why teal? I don’t know!

Minifigure information:

  • Name: Pug Costume Guy
  • Number: COL378
  • Released: 2021
  • Sets: 1, Series 21 CMF

  • Accessories: 1 (teal coloured bone)

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Ladybug Girl (COL377)!

The Minifigure appeared in Series 21 of the massively popular CMF (Collectable Minifigures) theme, and was an instant hit with fans, including myself. It expands upon the costume characters by adding a very sweet Ladybug insect outfit.

My thoughts:

I particularly like this Minifigure for its accessories, the unique runner moulded head gear, the solid curved wings and the small but equally as cool round 1×1 printed tile.

Don’t get me wrong the read of the Minifigure is cool too, the printed red torso with black polka-dots which continues onto the legs are great!

Taking photos of this Minifigure is a joy also especially when spring and summer time come around, the way it effortlessly fits into any dirt or wooded setting is awesome, producing some really great looking snaps. It’ll also go nicely with a few other characters from the CMF theme, check out Series 23 here before it’s released this September.

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Glam Metal Batman (COLTLBM02)!

Over on Instagram, Jesse (@may_the_lego_be_with_you) puts up minifigure polls in his stories and recently this Batman came up and it reminded me of its meaning to me, this minifigure was my FIRST ever minifigure in my collection.

I remember seeing the packets in a local supermarket and liking the guitar Batman was rocking with.

Feeling up some bags, I hoped I selected correctly…

I had! The the collection of minifigures began!

My thoughts:

I’ll start with the guitar! That’s what drew me to the minifigure. A really cool accessory with this one.

Working down from the top… he just has the 1 ‘mouth open’ facial expression which is hidden slightly with the batcowl, which has a awesome silver bat symbol printed on the front.

The torso gives batman a rockstar open top outfit revealing some of his chest. Along with his cape he has some silver spiked shoulder gear.

The legs are printed, carrying on the outfit from the rock torso and has a silver bat belt.

Overall I really think this is an awesome Batman minifigure and one I’m glad to have in my collection!

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Homer Simpson With Tie And Badge (SIM001)!

Homer Simpson With Tie And Badge (SIM001)

I thought I would go back to where my collection for Lego began.

This Simpsons House was my first set I bought from Lego so what better minifigure to choose than the man of the house himself… Homer!

My thoughts:

The first thing you notice, like most character style minifigures is the head mould, this is perfect to the Homer we know!

It has Homer’s printed hair (what’s left of it) and carries his facial expression for “Mmm Donuts!”

The torso is printed to resemble Homers short sleeved work uniform which includes his tie and work badge.

The legs are plain blue with no printing.

Although it’s a fairly plain minifigure, I really like how Lego have captured character perfectly.

With this weeks official release of The Muppets CMF, I just had to choose one for minifigure Monday.

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Kermit The Frog!

Kermit has to be one of the most iconic characters when it comes to thinking of The Muppets.

My thoughts:

I will be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of watching The Muppets when I was younger but my kids really enjoy them now.
When we saw the pictures when LEGO revealed this series, we knew these would be added to our collection.

The first thing you will notice is classic green colour of Kermit.
There’s not masses of detail when it comes to the printing but I think with these kind of character minifigures it’s more about getting the moulding correct and this one captures Kermit amazingly.

He has front and back printing on the torso and bendable mini legs.

With this minifigure you get a couple of accessories… a silver Banjo and a rainbow tile.

Minifigure information:

  • Name: Kermit The Frog
  • Number: *currently unknown

  • Sets: LEGO Minifigures – The Muppets Series (71033)

This week’s Minifigure Monday Clark Kent/Superman (SH084)!

My thoughts:

As always with Minifigures that come packaged with DVDs, Books, and other forms that aren’t sets, they’re exclusive and sought-after, today’s choice came with the LEGO DC Super Heroes Unite DVD (5002202).

I really enjoy looking at this Minifigure as there is so much going on, although most of the detail is confined to the torso, for starters it depicts Clark Kent with his shirt and jacket half ripped open in the midst of changing into his Superman outfit.

The design of the torso is outstanding and looks really well done, with the shadows and small details that make LEGO King of the Minifigures.

Sadly there isn’t much else to look at as the arms & legs are lacking in the print department. The head however has a satisfactory amount with Clarke Kent’s glasses and a slight grimacing expression.

Overall the Minifigure is great and one I cherish in my collection, I’m so happy to have it.

As it’s Easter Monday here in the UK I had to choose a Easter themed minifigure.

This week’s Minifigure Monday Easter Bunny Guy (HOL116)!

The Easter Bunny Guy appears in the Easter holiday set which was available as a free gift item as well as being available to purchase in some stores.
Over here in the UK it was even available from Sainsbury’s supermarkets over the Easter holidays in 2018.

My thoughts:

First of all the box the minifigure comes in can be kept as a nice way to display the minifigure.
The box is made to look like a little hut with windows on each side and a door on the front revealing the Bunny Guy.

The first thing you notice is a buck tooth printing to the face. Giving a great expression of a bunny.
This one only has the 1 side of print on the head but it does come with a cool head/bunny ear piece.

The torso has a nice print showing his bow tie and jacket.
The legs are just plain white.

On the back of the box is some artwork with a Easter egg that’s been decorated with paint…
So as accessories you get a small Easter egg with blue decorations and a paint brush with a blue tip making it look like he has been decorating the egg.

Minifigure information:

  • Name: Easter Bunny Guy
  • Number: HOL116
  • Released: 2018
  • Sets: Easter Bunny Hut (5005249)

Could I BE wearing anymore clothes?!

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Joey Tribbiani (FTV003)!

Joey Tribbiani (FTV003)

Up next is a minifigure from one of my favourite TV shows that’s been made into a LEGO set.

This Joey Tribbiani appears in the Creator Expert, The Friends Apartments (10292) which came out in 2021.

My thoughts:
This is definitely my favourite minifigure from the ‘F•R•I•E•N•D•S’ range.

Joey has 2 different faces, both showing some great expressions; one showing a frowning/confused look and other being more a classic cheeky Joey grin.

The printing on the torso and legs is amazing!

This particular design of minifigure is taken from the episode ‘The One Where No One’s Ready’ Season 3 Episode 2 where Joey comes up with the idea of wearing ALL of Chandlers clothes.

They have captured the multilayered clothes effect really well and also comes with a Red Scarf.

The Apartments was a set Me and Greg from The Brick Post built live shortly after it was released.
The set itself is a great build with lots of hidden Easter eggs… perfect for any Friends fan.
