This week’s Minifigure Monday is, Apocalypse Benny (TLM150)!

This weeks minifigure was a harder one to choose, when trying to select one for this week but had that staring into space moment when looking at the collection.
So what better minifigure than a ‘space’ themed one, Benny!

This version of Benny appeared in The Lego Movie 2 collectible minifigures (CMF) (71023) in 2019.

My thoughts:

I’m not a huge Space collector so I don’t have many space style Minifigures. I quite like this version as Benny comes across like he’s been through a lot with the fading of the logo on his torso and bionic arm, but is still showing off that happy grin.

Under the classic space helmet which has that broken appearance to it, he has 2 printed faces, the other being a more unhappy/frowning face so I guess he isn’t always in a good mood.

As well as the space airtank on his back, there’s another nice little accessory, a red tool box which again has the space logo printed on the it, a great addition to this minifigure.

Minifigure Monday: The Joker (sh133)! https://www.thebrickpost.com/minifigure-monday/minifigure-monday-the-joker-sh133/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/minifigure-monday/minifigure-monday-the-joker-sh133/#respond Mon, 14 Feb 2022 14:00:48 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=16399 Welcome to the first in hopefully a very long line of Minifigure feature articles where I hope to shine an informative spotlight on certain Minifigures that hold a special place in my collection!

Where it all began:

Up first we have a Minifigure which means a lot to me, The Joker (sh133)!

The Joker (which I call The Ledger Joker) is an exclusive Minifigure from LEGO Batman Tumbler (76023), which was released in 2014.

The Dark Knight trilogy is my favourite Batman franchise of movies so when a friend told me about the LEGO Tumbler I just HAD to get it, but what I wasn’t aware of was how LEGO retires sets, this was all new to me, and as it was 2017 this set wasn’t an easy set to find.

Looking at local selling groups, my wife managed to find me the set local to me and in budget to near original retail price. The excitement was unreal and this is truly where my LEGO collection began!

So, you could say this was my FIRST ever Minifigure (along with Batman of course) and will always be close to my heart!

My thoughts:

This Minifigure is awesome!

The printing on the Legs and Torso are superb and I love how the Jacket print continues onto the legs.

The head has 2 sides, either a smiling face or a more serious look.

Why so Serious?!

I like how the printing is done on the head to make it look like white face paint on a skin coloured head. The rest of the printed make up and the classic green Joker hair really helps make this Minifigure stand out.
