I have a tendency to go for the old skool and retro themed builds. You can’t get more classic than Jaws, it’s such an iconic and ground breaking film, I do wonder why it hasn’t been done yet by LEGO!

It’s creator, Jonny Campbell a.k.a Diving Faces, has focused on the boat and has done a stella job of recreating it in brick form.

YOU’RE GONNA NEED (TO BUILD) A BIGGER BOAT!

The way the boat looks is great, it matches its on-screen counterpart down to the ground. With the walk way at the front, the yellow floaties, the driving/sleeping quarters, and the masts and rods.

The Orca’s colour scheme matches well too with its dark red accent. I particularly like the shape and style of the brick-built boat, it’s streamline yet practical but is it big enough, that’s the question 😉.

With LEGO recently teasing a Jaws BrickHeadz line, via a user poll, it would make sense to expand on the material and give us AFOLs something to really get our teeth into (pun intended) and give the 18+ line something truly 18+!

It wouldn’t be Jaws or The Orca if the star of the show wasn’t included…the Shark!

The shark suits the Minifigure scale well and looks to be just a standard element. If the set gets made do you think we’ll be graced with a custom moulded ‘Jaws’ Shark? I really do hope so, or failing that a brick-built one.

I was born 10 years after the original release of the film but have watched it so many times, it still holds up well today. This would be an extremely popular display piece for any adult fan of both the film and LEGO. I can picture this sat on its own brick-built plinth with the shark poking up through it and the Minifigures, with spears and guns in hand, keeping him at bay. Awesome!

Good luck with the project Jonny Campbell (Diving Faces), we hope this idea comes to frustration.
