With over 70 LEGO sets released, including the late arrivals for the US, there is a lot to get stuck into, below but what incentives are there to make a purchase? Below are the 3 GWP sets that may help you decide how much to spend and which sets to buy.

Up first is an awesome LEGO DreamZzz polybag bundle, this is obtained by spending £45/$50/€50 or more on selected themes. Purchase a set or two from LEGO City, DreamZzz, Friends, Harry Potter, and/or Ninjago, to qualify.

August also sees the return of the LEGO Space Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712), which has kept it’s previous spend threshold of £180/$200/€200. This is available on any LEGO purchase of the amount above or more. The set is inspired by classic LEGO Space sets and features 4 builds and 2 Space Baby figures. It’s a great set and one you should definitely pickup, especially if you missed out on it first time around.

Last but not least is the LEGO McLaren P1 Logo (5008946) set, which is only available to Insiders members when purchasing the LEGO McLaren P1 (42172). The set is based on the the P1 logo and is made from a combination of LEGO Technic elements and standard system bricks. A basic gear system is included that allows you to partially rotate the logo.

All three GWPs can be obtained at the se time, although a rather varied list of LEGO sets would need to be purchased. They all expire 7th August, or until stocks last, whichever comes first. The LEGO Star Wars Skeleton Crew The Onyx Cinder (75374) set is based on the upcoming Disney+ series of the same name. It’s a coming-of-age story about four kids that go on an epic space adventure to get back home. The set comprises of 1,325 pieces and includes Minifigures of Jod, Wim, Fern, KB and Neel. It’s reported to drop sometime in August, watch this space for an official announcement soon.

A handful of upcoming August LEGO sets are already displaying as in-stock and available to order at John Lewis. The sets available are a few weeks ahead of their official release date of August, these include Bowsers Express Train, Guardians of the Galaxy Milano, Technic Volvo Truck, City Tram and DreamZzz. Others listed are clearly stated as pre-order, so if you’re looking to grab any from. John Lewis please make sure before hitting the order button. How long these will be available is anyone’s guess, but being this early LEGO might have something to say on the matter.

The 4+ set, Iron Man with Bike and The Hulk (76287), will be hitting stores and online this August. With a total of just 68 pieces, the build comprises of a simple building and motorbike. As usual AFOLs will be excited for the regular sized Hulk Minifigure, as LEGO tend to opt for a Bigfig. LEGO Marvel Iron Man with Bike and The Hulk (76287):

This will be one of the biggest release days for new LEGO sets, especially for the US (and other regions) as they will finally be getting the Summer releases. There are almost 100 sets dropping from multiple themes, below is a full list of those sets along with set images to feast your eyes on.

As for available promotions, you’ll still be able to bag the LEGO Fun Creativity 12-in-1 (40593) GWP, which leaves on 6th August, plenty of time to grab this simple but cool gift on spend of £75 ($/€80) or more.

There are some really big hitters including the LEGO Lion Knight’s Castle (10305), LEGO Marvel Dr Strange Sanctum Sanctorum (76218), LEGO Atari 2600 (10306), and the LEGO ICONS Camaro Z28 (10304), to name but a few.

Sticking with Classic LEGO we have an updated version of an old friend, the LEGO Space Galaxy Explorer (10497) set. This is reasonably priced in my book and one that will fly off shelves and no doubt will be on back order for many months to come.

There are of course plenty of other sets and themes to sink your teeth into with releases coming from all your favourites, including LEGO ART, LEGO Super Mario, LEGO Minecraft, LEGO DUPLO, and more.

LEGO Star Wars fans will be delighted with what is on offer in this waves of sets, including the return of Cad Bane. Also BrickHeadz make a return from a Galaxy Far, Far Away in the form of Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader.
