If you’re after this small but rather cool set you can pick it up via the secondary market, eBay is probably your best bet but do keep an open for local sales on Facebook, Vinted and other platforms. Keep in mind that the sets value, as listed by LEGO themselves, is £17.99, we don’t want you pay to much over the odds.

The 162 piece set features three Minifigures, a 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance, a Navy blue Mountain bike and a very small side-build of a rock formation and tree.

Its boxart follows suit of the LEGO City theme, with a dominantly blue design, add in some forest elemts and a Cityscape in the background and hey presto, decent enough box design.

In the reverse you’ll see many of the play features and ways to use the set, including how the stretcher fits inside the boot of the vehicle. The Mountain bike can be conveniently stored on the roof rack, perfect.

Inside the box are 2 numbered bags, a small sticker sheet and of course the instruction manual. The first bag is the rocky side-build and the two paramedic Minifigures, also the vehicles base is started.

The second bag adds the accident prone third Minifigure into the mix along with the rest of the vehicle.

I really like the LEGO City vehicles, both the 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance and the Police Dog Training (60369) jeep have great body shapes and suit the off-road style well. However the Ambulance in this set has more playability with an opening boot area and a place inside for all three Minifigures, even though one needs to fully standup to fit!

LEGO like to use the latest colours and as you can see from the images above the trending colour is florescent yellow, or ‘toxic‘ yellow as the community have unofficially dubbed it. Add this to the soft tones of teal, grey and white, you have yourself a rather fetching and instantly identifiable Ambulance vehicle.

The side-build at first glance is unnecessary, but upon unveiling the story behind the set you realise that it is somewhat needed. It’s the rock and tree formation that ultimately causes the crash. Perhaps he was riding to fast and couldn’t stop, or he just didn’t see it, who knows.

there is something good about this side-build though and that’s the classic style Tree element. We hardly see these in sets nowadays so this is highly welcomed.

An underrated part in this set is definitely the Mountain bike, being a smart navy blue colour, it’ll spot into anyone’s collection and MOCs with ease. I personally like a good LEGO bike.

Each of the Minifigures offer something different too, even the paramedics. Their clothing may be matching but that’s where the similarities end. The female character is sporting a new hat & hair combo colour, real and black. The male character has a smart hairstyle and a very happy expression.

Again the florescent yellow is present on their uniforms and being almost reflective in nature adds to the whole look of a paramedic. On the reverse is more of the same, although the addition of the LEGO Hospital logo is a nice touch.

The mountain biker has two facial expressions, one ‘cocky‘ and one worried, which makes sense and fits in with the story of the set. There isn’t as much going on here torso wise but that’s fine as the paramedics more than make up for that.

Overall a great little set, although the GWP spend threshold is a little steep, I think it’s worth picking up even if on the secondary market.

Vehicle and Minifigures are cool and offer something new to the LEGO City theme. If you have a Cityscape then even better, add an off-road Ambulance into the mix!

Last Chance To Grab LEGO City 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance Rescue (40582) GWP! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/last-chance-to-grab-lego-city-4x4-off-road-ambulance-rescue-40582-gwp/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/last-chance-to-grab-lego-city-4x4-off-road-ambulance-rescue-40582-gwp/#respond Sun, 19 Feb 2023 18:38:35 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=25069 The current LEGO GWP, 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance Rescue (40582), is due to end at mid-night tomorrow (20th February), leaving you just one day to pick it up if you wish!

The set comes complete with three Minifigures and an off-road rescue vehicle. The colour scheme is great and the characters feature awesome designs and prints. Sadly I personally think LEGO have dropped the ball on this one, it could have been a purchasable set but instead you’ll need to fork out at least £95 ($95/95€/CAD$125/$170AUD/$180NZD) to get it as a gift.

The GWP next inline is the LEGO Moving Truck (40586), this however demands a much higher spend requirement.
