As you may have seen from our previous Minifigs.me article all about creating your own characters, the ‘Create a Minifig‘ builder is smooth and let’s you build yourself or a unique character using their extensive range of custom products, which are printed onto genuine LEGO elements.

Last year I created custom Minifigs of myself and my family using parts from their new Christmas items, these include Heads, Torsos, Legs, Accessories, and Display stands. You can read about creating your own here.

When using the ‘Create Your Own‘ builder you have the chance to add a plethora of accessories that come in all shapes & sizes, from Christmas themed goodies to sports, video games, TV & movies, and so much more, here are a handful of festive accessories currently available.

Custom Minifigs:

Displays:

Miscellaneous:

Minifigs.me recently added new backgrounds under the display category, these really appeal to me, not only because they look stunning and the design team have done an incredible job once again, but they’ll slot into MOCs (my own creation) extremely easily. The Fireplace is my favourite as it looks warm & cosy, there is also one with a row of Stockings that can be customised with your Families initials, how cool is that?!

These do come with 6×6 plates for your to pop your Minifigures on, making them even more usable and fun, creating scenes and taking photos. Which we’d love to see by the way, please tag us in your social media posts using @thebrickpost.

We hope this post gives you some great ideas for Christmas and shows you what is available from one of the best Custom LEGO printers around!

Please do check their Christmas delivery timetable as they are extra busy this time of year and this affects shipping times.

Today’s selection is taken from a hugely popular book and now a multimillion/billion dollar Movie franchise, it is of course Dune. Entitled Sand Fighters, the figures look just like their onscreen counterparts, but in custom LEGO Minifigure form. Following them are two equally awesome characters, this time taken from the hit TV show Fallout. Vault Lucy and Ghoulish Guy look amazing and I can’t wait to get these myself. The team at Minifigs.me have also produced a series of Emoji style heads that come separately or as a bundle. Check outb

The Lunar Vigilante Custom LEGO Minifigures By Firestar Toys https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/the-lunar-vigilante-custom-lego-minifigures-by-firestar-toys/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/the-lunar-vigilante-custom-lego-minifigures-by-firestar-toys/#respond Fri, 07 Oct 2022 13:41:15 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=21846 After watching MoonKnight on Disney+ and being a big Marvel fan I wanted to be able to add him my collection, I found these on Firestar Toys and they looked amazing on their website! They are available to purchase separately or as you can see below in a pack of 3. This includes ‘Lunar Vigilante’ ‘Lunar Lad’ and ‘Shamed Lunar God’ and 2 custom printed tiles ‘Scarab Compass’ and a ‘Khonshu Ushabti’ tile.

Now lets look at each minifigure in closer detail.

Lunar Vigilante

The Lunar Vigilante minifigure aka Marc Spector/Moon Knight, comes with a very high quality laser printed torso, legs and head based off of Moonknight from the Disney+ series, the printing is absolutely amazing, the details are so crisp and clean. Firestar have really captured the details of his costume using blacks, greys and gold to highlight the patterns of the material and his eyes. The printing extends to the arms and the outsides of the legs. This is all printed onto genuine LEGO pieces.

The hood is a custom mould, which is of very high quality and fits the LEGO head perfectly. He also comes with a gold crescent dart and 2 very good custom capes, 1 standard and the other in a moon shape crescent. There is also a second head and hair that comes with this minifigure, this head festures a double side print that represents Marc Spector, before and after a battle.

Lunar Lad

Lunar Lad aka Steven Grant/Mr Knight, again has amazing laser printing to the torso, legs and head. This has all been printed onto all white genuine LEGO pieces and I have to say this minifigure is stunning, fairly simple printing but very clean, crisp and shows all the details needed including the creases to the front of the trousers. The head works perfectly as a mask with the crease across where the nose would be. He also comes with 2 batons and a double sided printed head and hair piece to represent Steven Grant

I love the worried look and scared expression on Stevens face prints.

Shamed Lunar God

Shamed Lunar God aka Khonshu, has again some amazing printing showing all the lines of the mummy style material wrapped around the torso and legs, again with printing around the sides of the legs and printed arms too and all printed onto genuine LEGO pieces. He comes with a custom cape, which has been cut to hang just like the one from the Disney+ show and a moon staff, which is a LEGO minifigure utensil.

The head, being a skull, is an actual LEGO piece from the Chima and has been recoloured to be plain white, there is also a clear minifigure head beneath to give it that “floating” look.

Price

You can buy these all individually or as a pack of 3 “The Lunar Legion” from Firestar Toys with the following prices:

  • Lunar Vigilante £34.95
  • Lunar Lad £19.95
  • Shamed Lunar God £24.95

Or the Lunar Legion pack of all 3 plus 2 bonus tiles £69.95 saving £9.90.

Conclusion

These custom minifigures are some of the best I have seen, the printing is amazing with detailing that is just as good, if not better, than LEGO’s own minifigures. The only difference is the way they are printed, laser as opposed to pad printing. If you are wondering, the way to tell the difference is that laser printing is slightly raised.

The custom capes are very good quality and must be made using the same, if not very similar quality material to what LEGO use and the custom hood is just brilliant, although not quite the same quality.

Overall if you want to have these minifigures for your collection or to add them to some moc scenes then I would 100% recommend these.

The price may seem quite expensive but they are made using genuine LEGO pieces, the printing is very high quality and the custom capes and hood are brilliant. You will not be disappointed.

My Custom Minifigure Collection Grows – Minifigs.me Stranger Things Figs! https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/my-custom-minifigure-collection-grows-minifigs-me-stranger-things-figs/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/my-custom-minifigure-collection-grows-minifigs-me-stranger-things-figs/#respond Fri, 19 Aug 2022 13:41:15 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=20908 We’re back with more custom printed LEGO Minifigures courtesy of Minifigs.me, adding a few new characters you may recognise from the hit Netflix show Stranger Things!

If you follow us on any of our social media channels (Instagram and Facebook) then you’ll know just how much we love Minifigures and now custom ones, especially from Minifigs.me. They specialise in custom Minifigures and their parts, from accessories and printed tiles to heads, torsos, and complete figures, the good thing is they use genuine LEGO pieces. Their unique designs are done to a very high quality and the prints look crisp and detailed, the photos really don’t do them justice so why not grab a few and see for yourself.

Today’s article is to showcase the new additions to our small but growing collection of custom Stranger Things Minifigures. To recap we already have Eddie  Munson, who is a must get by the way, that now iconic Heavy Metal scene alone is worth recreating with this Minifigure! Click the link above to read more about him.

The next character we acquired was Maxine Mayfield, played by the very talented actor Sadie Sink. What drew me to this particular custom figure is the attention to detail and the sheer amount of printing it has.

The torso printing perfectly matches and continues onto the legs, illustrated by the little Walkman in clipped to her belt. They haven’t held back on the amount of design included, with an unzipped jacket exposing a crosshatch tshirt and headphones around her neck. There are also a couple of lines on each arm that kind of carries on from the front.

Her shoes are a little off centre but they look absolutely great with the laces detail and white line that runs long each side.

Up next are perhaps the biggest dynamic duo to hit screens recently, Steve Harrington & Robin Buckley!

They come complete in their ‘Scoops Ahoy‘ Ice Cream parlour outfits and I must say they’re are incredibe and well worth pickup up if you’re a fan of the show.

Included in the bundle are their matching ‘Scoops Ahoy‘ employee hats, matching their on-screen counterparts perfectly. The hats are cool and feature the word ‘Ahoy‘ on them, as always the design and printing is crisp and detailed.

Steve even comes with an alternative face, which is a little beaten up and bloody, great for using in MOCs.

Last but not least, the villain of the latest season, and of the whole show, Vecna!

If you haven’t seen any of the latest season (4) then this will be a huge spoiler for you so look away now, we’ll to be honest you already know to much so best continue reading.

Vecna is Henry Creel, 001, the man behind everything strange that has been happening in Hawkins, so what better way to represent him than in custom LEGO Minifigure form?

This bad boy looks so scary with vines and veins all over his body, the way this Minifigure has been printed gives the look and feel of them being 3D, job well done Minifigs.me!

As you can see below the print covers the entire figure and the quality really shines through, not a lot of companies do this and I for one appreciate the work that goes it every last one.

We have dabbled in custom printed parts before but never a fully fledged custom Minifigure, but when Minifigs.me released the latest addition to their Stranger Figs lineup we just had to have it!

Introducing Eddie Munson, inspired by the latest season of the hugely popular Netflix show Stranger Things.

The figures produced by Minifigs.me are stunning and are done to a high standard. They’re always printed directly onto genuine LEGO parts and come packaged in their own little boxes.

This particular figure comes with an accessory in the form of a 2×2 custom printed Dungeons & Dragons tile. It’s a great addition and makes for a more collectable figure, he is the Dungeon Master after all!

Sporting his denim jacket and Hellfire Club shirt on the front and a homage to DIO on the back, this torso is incredible. The amount of detail Minifigs.me have managed to cram on is awesome.

They even produce a separate torso for those of you with Sigfigs or simply wanting to create the character yourself. I have popped the torso onto my own Sigfig, I think he approves.

As a homage to Eddie and ‘that’ epic scene he was in, I won’t go into any details as would hare to spoil it for viewers who have yet to witness it. I made a MOC (my own creation) inspired by that very scene, I have built it around the custom Minifigs.me figure and taken key items and points from an image I saved. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

If you would like to own one of these figures yourself, or any from the vast Minifigs.me catelogue please use this link as a 10% discount will be automatically added during checkout, get in!
