First revealed during the first day of San Diego Comic-Con SDCC, this series will be inspired by the fantasy world of Dungeons & Dragons. As usual there will be 12 new characters to collect, their names and images can be seen below.

These will be available from 1st September in LEGO stores and online, pre-orders should be available soon, so watch this space.

As expected, the reveal came during the first day of SDCC. The upcoming LEGO Dungeons & Dragons Collectible Minifigures (71047) series will once again feature 12 characters to collect including Tiefling Sorcerer, Elf Bard, Halfling Druid, Dwarf Barbarian, Dragonborn Paladin, Aarakocra Ranger, Gith Warlock, Mind Flayer, The Lady of Pain, Strahd von Zarovich, Tasha the Witch Queen, and Szass Tam.

Pre-order is a a now in select regions from the online LEGO Shop, they will ship 1st September.

The promotion is exactly the same as the first outing, LEGO Insiders who purchase the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale (21348) set will bag the Mimic Chest Dice Box GWP completely free. We recently received two of their newest products, outfits inspired by the hugely popular game Dungeons & Dragons. This comes just in time for the release of the LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale (21348) set. Their latest set of torsos, legs and other Minifigure parts allow for you to customise and create your own D&D characters.

In terms of new parts and recolours, there are a handful that can be seen from the images below. Without having the set I front of me it’s hard to get a definitive list but it’s safe to say there are a handful of exclusive parts and recolours.

The countdown suggests that the set will be revealed early next week, Tuesday to be exact. Alongside the countdown we get our first silhouetted glimpse at the Minifigures. There’s not much else to report on at the moment but please do check out the dedicated countdown page for yourself.

Three finalists made it through to the Fan Vote and today we can reveal the winner, which will be the final cover art on the building instructions for the upcoming set.

At the time of writing, there still hasn’t been any information regarding the set the above instructions art will go with, which is the Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End by BoltBuilds. Watch this space.

With 3 to choose from the deco could be quite troublesome as they’re all worthy. The winning design will have their artwork turned into the front cover of the building instructions for the upcoming set.

It unfortunately won’t be be ready for production any time soon and it may look somewhat different to the Fan design (pictured below), but how exciting is it that we’re finally getting a D&D inspired set!

The initial challenge was to design and create a LEGO model of the long-running and hugely popular role-playing game. After several weeks of gathering entries only five projects made it to the fan vote, with one of them possibly becoming a future LEGO set.
