Minifigs.me recently added new backgrounds under the display category, these really appeal to me, not only because they look stunning and the design team have done an incredible job once again, but they’ll slot into MOCs (my own creation) extremely easily. The Fireplace is my favourite as it looks warm & cosy, there is also one with a row of Stockings that can be customised with your Families initials, how cool is that?!

Build Your Own Mini LEGO Cataclaws With Pick-A-Brick! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/build-your-own-mini-lego-cataclaws-with-pick-a-brick/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/build-your-own-mini-lego-cataclaws-with-pick-a-brick/#comments Sat, 09 Nov 2024 12:28:04 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=43852 The online LEGO Pick-A-Brick service is offering the instructions and parts needed to build your very own mini Cataclaws!

The star of this year’s LEGO Christmas campaign and perhaps the cutest thing to come out of LEGO in recent years is a Cat named Cataclaws. You can now purchase the LEGO elements needed, conveniently from the Pick-a-Brick section of the LEGO website, there are even instructions showing you how to put them all together.

The mini version of Cataclaws looks very cute and would be a great festive addition to most fans’ collections, even more so if you’re a Cat lover. A parts list has been provided which allows you to build 5 Cataclaws. Alternatively you can edit the list manually and lower the amount to just build one, this will however incur a service fee as it goes under the required amount to avoid any fees.

Check out mini Cataclaws below and share your thoughts on it in the comments section.

Cataclaws Is Coming To Town – New LEGO Global Holiday Campaign! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/cataclaws-is-coming-to-town-new-lego-global-holiday-campaign/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/cataclaws-is-coming-to-town-new-lego-global-holiday-campaign/#respond Tue, 05 Nov 2024 13:19:35 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=43630 The LEGO Group has launched this year’s festive ad campaign, introducing Cataclaws!

The latest campaign sticks with the ‘Superhero of Play‘ mantra but has introduced a new feline character called Cataclaws. The Christmas adverts feature various LEGO sets including a handful of LEGO Disney sets. To coincide with the campaign there will be a number of events taking place at select LEGO stores globally. These will be Brickmas parties, build events and a whole lot more.

Read more about the campaign below and watch the LEGO 2024 holiday advert in its entirety. ‘Build To Give‘ also starts soon so watch this space for more on that.

Official details:

November 5th 2024 – Billund, Denmark: The LEGO Group has today launched its global holiday campaign, introducing a new icon for creative LEGO® play this festive season: Cataclaws. Born from the imagination of kids, this furry brick-built character was created to remind everyone that there’s nothing more important than playing together this Holiday.

The film tells the story of our playful disruptor as she embarks on an epic adventure to become a CAT-alyst for play, showing up in boring and disconnected periods of the holiday, transforming them into moments of joy and fun that bring families closer together.

Produced and developed by Our LEGO Agency, in partnership with the LEGO Global Brand Development team, Brazilian directing duo Alaska and production company New-Land, the hero film features more than 20 different LEGO products and unique builds, along with cameos from beloved famous characters as well as various mini Cataclaws builds hidden throughout. There are also a whole host of other firsts and surprises for LEGO fans to keep their eyes peeled for, including the chance for fans to build their own mini Cataclaws in LEGO stores through Make & Take opportunities.

The Cataclaws Christmas sweater is also available at stores with LEGO Minifigure Factories for fans who want to accessorize their Minifigure with a Cataclaws Christmas sweater this season. For fans eager to get their hands on Cataclaws’ beanie, here’s the building instructions.

“We’re delighted to bring Cataclaws to life and finally release her into the world,” said Nic Taylor, SVP and Head of Our LEGO Agency. “She represents the power of children’s innate creativity, reminding us all that there is no limit to where our imagination can take us when building with LEGO bricks and unlocking those special moments with family and friends through play.”

“We hope this campaign captures the joy of the holiday season, and the role that LEGO play can have in that” said Carlo Cavallone, VP of Creative at Our LEGO Agency. “With our partners Alaska and New-Land, we’re proud to have brought to life something that showcases our new feline friend and all the wonderful products on offer to help kids channel their creativity.”

Build a Heart for Children in Need of Play
The Holiday campaign coincides with the LEGO Group’s annual Build to Give initiative, kicking off from November 11th, which encourages everyone to help share the superpower of play with children who need it most by building a heart out of LEGO bricks and sharing it with the hashtag #BuildToGive.

For every heart built in LEGO Stores around the world or shared on social media or on LEGO Play app using #BuildToGive before December 31, the LEGO Group will donate a LEGO set to a child in need of play*. This holiday season, the initiative will gift the superpower of play to children in hospitals, children’s homes and vulnerable communities. The sets are distributed through the LEGO Group’s network of local charity partners worldwide, and the campaign has reached more than 9.1 million children since 2017.

Select LEGO Stores around the world will be hosting the annual Build to Give activity throughout November. Check LEGO.com/stores for information on local store Build to Give dates.

Festive LEGO Builds – in LEGO Stores and on LEGO.com
Alongside the holiday film and 360 campaign activations including 3D digital OOH, social media and broadcast, the LEGO Group will be unleashing a playful holiday for fans this festive season through a number of LEGO store activations across the globe**, including everything from a chance to win private in-store LEGO Brickmas Parties, to showing off your creative superpowers by reimagining Santa’s Sleigh and having it built into a large-scale LEGO model.

In select LEGO Stores, you can also build festive minifigures in our Build a Minifigure tower.  Choose from accessories including surfboard Santa, present and festive jumper girl. Many new colours, exclusive decorations and new festive design elements have been added to the LEGO Minifigure Factory ready for fans to play with – including Cataclaws!

You will also find new festive elements in the Pick-A-Brick wall, including a number of animals – which make great stocking fillers. Visit www.LEGO.com/stores to find out more.

On www.LEGO.com/holiday you can download building instructions to make five different festive cats or a festive stocking and then order the pieces from our online Pick-A Brick.

LEGO Ideas Feature: Round House Ski Lodge By ThomasTheCross https://www.thebrickpost.com/lego-ideas/lego-ideas-feature-round-house-ski-lodge-by-thomasthecross/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/lego-ideas/lego-ideas-feature-round-house-ski-lodge-by-thomasthecross/#respond Sat, 18 Nov 2023 15:10:58 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=32520 The festive season is almost upon us and that means we can let loose with the Christmas themed LEGO Ideas builds that capture our eye. Today we have a great looking submission that would look stunning on display and part of a Cityscape, introducing Round House Ski Lodge By ThomasTheCross.

At first glance the build looks impressively busy and perfect as a standalone building or part of a bigger Winter scene. The idea is based on a traditional Round House that sits are the centre of most Ski resorts. It’s a place to meet before heading out onto the slopes, or to recover afterwards with a hot chocolate or Soemthing stronger.

Since 1939, the Round House has been a refuge from the cold weather in Sun Valley, Idaho. Resting at 7,700 feet (or bricks in this case!), the lodge features a unique octagonal architecture. – ThomasTheCross

LEGO has produced a few Ski related sets over the years, more so recently within their City theme, so it is anything new persay. It is however completely different to official offerings, making it perfect for the LEGO Ideas platform and what grabbed my attention when choosing this week’s feature.

Inside the Round House is looks extremely cozy, with a roaring fire in the centre and comfy seating and dinning areas around the outer walls. It also houses a lot of Minifigure friendly services such as a Pizzeria, Bar and more. The decor is Fanta too with Skis and related accessories everywhere, including trophies from past races. It even has a toilet situated around the back of the building.

What gives it that festive vibe, for my personally, is the snowy roof, warm log fire, red & green rug and the many Minifigures all wrapped up and enjoying themselves.

Once the roof is removed you can get a good sense of how much is crammed, in a good way, into this idea. Built around a central chimney. The walls that separate the kitchen and toilet areas are the only dividers inside the building, the rest is open plan and it looks stunning. The balcony area is also a nice addition as Minifigures can sit outside and enjoy the view, watching as others have fun on the slopes.

Without giving too much away, I’d like you to view the submission itself on LEGO Ideas, so please get over there now and give your support.

We would like to wish ThomasTheCross the best of luck in gaining the required 10k support. If you like the look of this idea and would like to give your support, please use the link below. Registration is free to LEGO Ideas and only takes a minute, so head over there now and do your part!
