THE LEGO® GROUP INTRODUCES EVEN MORE NEW ISLAND OFFERINGS IN FORTNITE: CHASERS VS HUNTERS & MONSTER FISHING

Two action packed LEGO Islands, found within Fortnite, offer new mysterious adventures and challenges for players, just in time for Halloween!

17th October 2024: Expanding on its range of action-packed games, the LEGO Group has launched even more exciting LEGO Islands within Fortnite, where players will have to navigate through various obstacles and challenges to solve one big mystery.

Players are divided into teams in the all-new LEGO Chasers Vs Hunters to take control of the dream world from the LEGO DREAMZzz™ universe.

Teams will be split into Dream Chasers and Nightmare Hunters, with both being given LEGO weapons to shoot their opponents and convert targets to gain dream sand. Each player can use the dream sand to dream craft even bigger and better weapons to help their team take control of the dream world.

Look out for a mysterious flying object from above, as players will have the added challenge of shooting this down from the sky. This dark and creepy creature haunts the LEGO Islands and is curious about LEGO minifigures. Players will be in a race to solve the puzzles in front of them and obtain the codes required to unlock the ultimate secret!

After conquering their opponents and seizing control of the dream world, players will embark on an exciting adventure with LEGO Monster Fishing. However, their peace will be short-lived, as something lurking beneath the surface will drive them back to shore! Players will then have to bravely collect fish, escape, and make it to shore in time to sell their bounty and upgrade the village to protect it from what’s lurking under the ice.

“We’re excited to expand our LEGO Island experiences within Fortnite to give players even more challenging ventures to uncover and explore”said Kari Vinther Nielsen, Head of Play & Creator Growth at LEGO GAME“In collaboration with Epic Games, we’ve designed the new Islands to delve into some unexpected horrors and mysteries, just in time for Halloween. We can’t wait to see the creativity and teamwork that players will bring to these thrilling new adventures!”

Players should keep their eyes peeled for clues to find out what else is in store, with more surprises in LEGO Parkour Worlds, where you can climb the world’s greatest candy cane and drop off the top, and LEGO Dark Space still to come, inviting gamers to escape by following the light and thinking outside the box.

In addition to this, the LEGO Group and Epic Games have also unveiled the ‘Scary Space’ template and gallery update, allowing creators to publish their own LEGO Islands using LEGO elements, LEGO Styles and other LEGO Brand assets available in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Fortnite Creative. This will bring the iconic LEGO System in Play and its endless creative possibilities to life in a digital setting like never before.

LEGO Template – Scary Space: A template that teaches game creators how to create a jump scare using Verse Code. This new template lets creators make unique, fun and horror-themed LEGO Games, just in time for Halloween. Curious how it works? Play the Scary Space demo Island and learn more about creating, using island code: 6232-6041-8173

LEGO Gallery – Scary Space: Fortnite creators can now choose from a whole gallery of new scary items to build with. There are two main moods to choose from, Cosmic Horror and Classic Halloween. Players can even showcase modular evil plants, Lovecraftian monsters and more.

The two new LEGO Islands in Fortnite – LEGO Chaser Vs Hunters and LEGO Monster Fishing – and ‘Scary Space’ template and gallery are available to play on Fortnite from today.

Which Game Would You Like To Play A LEGO Version Of? https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/which-game-would-you-like-to-a-lego-version-of/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/which-game-would-you-like-to-a-lego-version-of/#respond Tue, 10 Sep 2024 10:12:00 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=41914 With the LEGO Horizon Adventures game dropping soon, it got me thinking what other games would be fun as LEGO!

LEGO has a few gaming Console and Character sets under their belt, with the likes of the Nintendo NESAtariPac-ManThe Mighty Bowser, a Tallneck from Horizon Zero Dawn and of course Super Mario, to name a few. Apart from a handful of their own video games the industry is in need of new and exciting games to get stuck into. The Video Games industry is massive and entertains millions around the World on a daily basis, myself included. Combining my love of gaming and LEGO would be epic and thankfully that void will be filled soon with the upcoming LEGO Horizon Adventures game. I personally loved the Tallneck set which was inspired by the game that I played through.

There are of course a plethora of video games that could easily be transformed into LEGO, including but not limited to Tomb Raider, HALO, Gears of War, Assassins Creed, Halflife, Street Fighter and so many more, it’s impossible to list here.

So, my question for you today is, which game would you like to see a LEGO version of? Comment below or why not join in the discussion on our Instagram channel?

LEGO Ideas Feature: Portal 2 Quantum Tunnelling Device (Portal Gun) By Hooded-Blaze https://www.thebrickpost.com/lego-ideas/lego-ideas-feature-portal-2-quantum-tunnelling-device-portal-gun-by-hooded-blaze/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/lego-ideas/lego-ideas-feature-portal-2-quantum-tunnelling-device-portal-gun-by-hooded-blaze/#respond Sat, 30 Mar 2024 20:40:27 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=36817 Video games have been and still are a big part of my life. In my adult years it’s a great way relax and unwind in a world that is make-believe. So naturally when a LEGO set or an Ideas submission is released it instantly grabs my attention. This week’s feature is from a game that brings back some fond memories, creating portals and solving puzzles.

The Portal Gun, inspired by the hugely popular Portal video game, is an iconic weapon/tool amongst avid gamers and one I think we all wished we had.

Introducing the Portal 2 Quantum Tunnelling Device (Portal Gun) by Hooded-Blaze!

This model is based off Aperture Sciences’ Quantum Tunnelling Device, also known as the Portal Gun – Hooded-Blaze

The build is rather large, which is good, it would look amazing on display and most certainly be a conversation starter. From the images supplied it looks as though no bare studs are showing and the exterior is completely tiled over, which is rare for a LEGO set. I think that is why it looks so impressive, the smooth shape, curves and overall design screams awesomeness.

From a front-on view you can see right down the barrel of the gun, literally. With the clamp/pincers at the front, the many cables protruding and other details really do finish off the Portal Gun nicely. Infact it looks good from any and every angle.

Creating the back curved portion of the build must have been tricky, there are a few gaps but overall the shape is spot on and looks pretty much identical to its in-game counterpart.

Also included in the submission is a display stand, that at first looks rather simple but with the Technic elements and large LEGO tile, with ‘Aperture Laboratories‘ printed on it, makes for an impressive little build in its own right.

This would be no doubt a fantastic LEGO set because of how large the Portal community is. Since its release, over 40 million players have played Portal 2 worldwide. – Hooded-Blaze

I personally would love to see this made into a real LEGO set, on display alongside some of my other video game themed sets. Perhaps creating a MOC (my own creation) of both an orange and blue portal. Minifigures or builds of the two robot characters from the game would be cool too, although LEGO have already produced a Portal Minifigure (LEGO Dimensions), more would also be nice.

We would like to wish Hooded-Blaze the best of luck in gaining the required 10k support. If you like the look of this idea and would like to give your support, please use the links below. Registration is free to LEGO Ideas and only takes a minute, so head over there now and do your part!

LEGO® 2K DRIVE –  DRIVE PASS SEASON 4 NOW AVAILABLE

Drive Pass Season 4 features 100 tiers, an all-new biome, new rewards, and more

2K and the LEGO Group announced that the fourth Drive Pass Season for LEGO 2K® Drive is now available. In the free update, players can play through 100 tiers, with the ability to earn 21 free rewards including four vehicles, five brick packs, five drivers and more! Season 4 also introduces an entirely new biome and new game modes available to all players.

  • Stargaze Summit – The icy mountain range and tundras of Stargaze Summit capture the majesty of the frozen north, but things will get extra cold when players start cruising through outer space in later races. As players explore this frigid expanse, they’ll find seven races, three challenges, and nine On-the-Go (OTG) events. Make sure to keep a lookout for hidden Herring Barrel collectibles while dashing through the snow!
  • Goal Karts Hockey – Players can take their custom ride to the ice, slam into a gigantic puck, and use teamwork to score in Goal Karts Hockey, a new 3v3 online multiplayer mode that can also be played in 1v1 local split screen. It’s absolute chaos in the rink as both teams try to knock the colossal puck into the opposing goal, all while activating destructive Power-Ups that can blast the other team to bits.
  • Time Trial Races – Time Trial mode is a new way for players to test driving abilities as they strive for even faster times. In these races, it’s just the player and the track, so there won’t be any distractions while trying to beat their personal best. Players have the option to race against a Ghost of their best time as they continue to refine their route, and they can compete on the Leaderboards in an effort to overcome any friends who posted a faster time.
  • Special Flairs In The Garage – All players will also find new Special Flairs to collect and add to their collection in The Garage. Special Flairs have unique effects – like notifying players when they’re near a collectible item, or a full-on flamethrower that can melt other vehicles and the environment – and can only be used in single-player and non-competitive modes. Collect them all by completing Stargaze Summit’s races and add them to vehicles for some extra fun!

Those who purchase the Premium Drive Pass for Season 4, which is included in the Year 1 Drive Pass, will also have the ability to earn 84 Premium Rewards including nine new Vehicles and 10 new Drivers. Players can earn creations inspired by the all-new biome, Stargaze Summit, including new viking and sci-fi themed creations and more! With Premium Drive Pass Season 4, players can also take their creativity in the Garage to new heights with new Brick Packs, Stickers, Sounds, and Flairs.

There are no time limits for LEGO 2K Drive Seasons so players can pick up and play each Season at their own pace. The Premium Drive Pass for Season 4 is included in the Year 1 Drive Pass, and is also available for individual purchase. Players who have been playing through the Free version of Season 4 and decide to upgrade to the Premium version of Drive Pass Season 4, will instantly unlock all the Premium Rewards they have earned based on their current level.
