Throughout the year LEGO released a series of micro Ninjago City sets Insiders members to redeem. Costing between 2,300 and 2,700 points, the sets were quite pricey, today they have been reduced by 500 to 900 points to make them slightly more affordable.

Each set is a scaled-down version of their LEGO set counterparts, making them extremely collectable, not just to Ninjago fans but all LEGO enthusiasts. It’s a little disappointing to see something being discounted like this for those that originally forked out more points for them.

Are these redeemable sets low enough for you to consider them? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

LEGO Micro Ninjago City (40703) set comprises of 339 pieces and could be a GWP. Unfortunately details concerning the spend threshold aren’t yet confirmed but we now have official images and set details. As fans of Ninjago will know it’s a micro version of the Ninjago City (70620) set. It measures 16cm high, 10cm wide and 8cm deep and will connect to three ofther sets in the series, which have yet to be revealed.

Looking at the set on the front it looks a similar scale to the recent series of Houses of the World GWPs. This might also hint at the potential spend threshold of £220/$250, which is rather expensive. What do you think of this future series of GWP sets? It comprises of 339 pieces and could be a future GWP (gift with purchase). Unfortunately not a lot of details are available so it is pure speculation at thisoment in time. As fans of Nun will know it’s basically a micro version of the Ninjago City (70620) set.

What’s perhaps more interesting is on the back of the box, where you’ll see three silhouettes of other builds, hinting that a collection will be available over a certain amount of time.

From the numbers given we know exactly what they’ll be:

  • 40704 is the Micro Ninjago Docks – based on the Ninjago City Docks (70657)
  • 40705 is the Micro Ninjago Gardens – based on Ninjago City Gardens (71741)
  • 40706 is the Micro Ninjago City Markets – based on Ninjago set (71799)

Looking at the set on the front it looks a similar scale to the recent series of Houses of the World GWPs. This might also hint at the potential spend threshold of £220/$250, which is rather expensive. What do you think of this future series of GWP sets?
