What Is The Most Valuable Minifigure In Your Collection? https://www.thebrickpost.com/afol-tips/what-is-the-most-valuable-minifigure-in-your-collection/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/afol-tips/what-is-the-most-valuable-minifigure-in-your-collection/#respond Wed, 08 May 2024 15:07:06 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=38200 LEGO Minifigures come in most sets, from City and Ninjago to Star Wars and more. Some are generic and not worth much, but there are several that are rare, sought-after or have a manufacturing error which in turn hike their price up, particularly on the secondary market!

One of the most notable entries on the list of the Worlds most valuable Minifigure is of course ‘Mr Gold‘. For starters he was limited to just 5000 globally, to add to this he could only be found in Series 10 of the Collectible Minifigures line of sets. This combination has made ‘Mr Gold‘ a collectors dream, which for most it will stay, a dream.

For me personally I sadly don’t have any extremely valuable Minifigures in my collection, there might be one or two that are worth more but overall they’re most likely £10 tops. There is one that comes to mind but he has seen recent dips in price, Deadpool. I paid almost £20 for him a few years ago, which back then I thought was rather a lot.

My question for you today is, What’s the most valuable Minifigure in your collection?

Costumed Minifigures – What Would You Like To See? https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/costumed-minifigures-what-would-you-like-to-see/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/costumed-minifigures-what-would-you-like-to-see/#comments Thu, 04 Apr 2024 11:04:40 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=37011 LEGO Minifigures come in all shapes and sizes, especially in the CMF (Collectible Minifigures) series. Being an avid Minifigure collector myself I have an ever growing collection of 100s of characters, but when a new costumed Minifigure is released I have to have it.

Over the years we’ve had many outfits, including a Pizza slice, Melon slice, cake slice, Panda, Bear, Bee, Tree, Raccoon, Dog, Dinosaurs and so many more. With no end insight to the CMF line, we hope there will be a lot more coming our way.

Using Ai, courtesy of Microsoft, we have put together a few characters that we would like to see, I’d like to direct that question to you, what costume would you like to see? From the Ai generated images below I’d personally love to see a Burger and Fries Minifigure and a takeaway Coffee cup, they not only look cute but they would fit into a City as a Mascot extremely well!

Costumed Minifigures – What Would You Like To See?

Who Would You Like To See As A LEGO Minifigure? https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/who-would-you-like-to-see-as-a-lego-minifigure/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/who-would-you-like-to-see-as-a-lego-minifigure/#respond Sun, 10 Mar 2024 17:19:21 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=36237 Minifigures are a big deal to LEGO and collectors, the humble little plastic people that we know and love were first conceived in 1978 (movable arms/legs) and have been a staple of many LEGO sets since. The very first character to be made was a Policeman, which was reimagined in Collectible Minifigure Series 18, it happened to be very rare and sought-after because it was limited to one per box.

LEGO also specialise in licensed characters, from Start Wars, Jurassic Park/World, Marvel, DC and so many more. With a ton of Mini under their belt there seems to be a never ending selection to collect, add new and unreleased sets to the mix and were are very spoilt as fans. Of course there are a ton of characters LEGO have yet to do from themes that don’t exist yet, but which iconic characters would you like to see in Minifigure form? That’s today’s big question, so please comment below with your prized list of movie stars, singers, TV show actros, characters, historical figures and so many more other sources of inspiration.

For me personally I would love to see an Alien Minifigure from Ridley Scott’s 1979 cult classic series of movies, along with Ripley and the Nostromo crew. To be honest any character from any 80’s movie would be great, that was a great decade for movies, with the likes of GhostBusters, Die Hard, Back to the Future and so many more, come on LEGO, pull your finger out, us AFOLs want an 80’s theme!

Who would you like to see as a LEGO Minifigure?

Don’t limit your decision based on the example below. It could be anyone from the damn of time, a famous actor or musician, a historical figure, a scientist, a fictional character, the pool to pick from is unlimited, so choose wisely.

Custom LEGO Mother’s Day Gifts From Minifigs.me! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/custom-lego-mothers-day-gifts-from-minifigs-me/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/custom-lego-mothers-day-gifts-from-minifigs-me/#respond Sun, 25 Feb 2024 10:00:20 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=25532 It’s now March and Mother’s Day is just around the corner, here is a look at what the team over at Minifigs.me have to offer for those LEGO loving Mother’s!

Be it a custom printed message on a Brick or a jigsaw-style collection of tiles that make up a photograph, or a fully customisable LEGO MinifigureMinifigs.me has you covered. Below are a handful of the wonderful gifts they have to offer.

Don’t forget to use the links throughout this article as a 10% discount automatically gets added to you basket during checkout!

Starting off small but still sweet are the 2×2 Mother’s Day card tiles, these prints look fantastic and portray the heartfelt message perfectly. There are two designs to choose from, Pink with Red Heart and Purple with Flowers.

Continuing the along the tile theme is a 1×2 coupon tile for a Spa Day, it’s one of those easy but truly appreciates gifts. I’ve never been on a Spa Day, maybe one I’ll get to experience it. For something so small the detail is incredible, just look at the writing on it, crisp!

If you’re looking for something a bit more chunky then you can’t go wrong with the 2×4 brick. This one has ‘Best Mum‘ written on it, with a handful of Flowers dotted around it.

Why not go traditional and gift her a Box of Chocolates or a Bouquet of Flowers? Of course every so far has been scaled to suit Minifigures or make smaller gifts. These chocolates and flowers are a perfect combo for a Sigfig or Minifigure character.

After something proper gifty? Try these custom LEGO puzzles, not only are they fun but you can customise them with your photo and names!

There are two puzzles to choose from, both technically the same just different lettering. One has ‘I Love You Mum‘ above the photo, whilst the other has ‘Best Mum‘ beneath the photo.

If your Mum has her own Sigfig/Minifigure characters, then I’d personally go for a display stand, this one is also customisable with a photo, it also has ‘Best Mum’ written underneath.

If she doesn’t have a Sigfig/Minifigure character yet then this is the perfect time to get her one. The Minifigs.me ‘Build-a-Fig’ is perfect for this and has a ton of options to choose from, including customisable torsos, tiles and display stands.

Create Your Own Custom Minifigures With Minifigs.me!

We really hope that this short but insightful article gives you an idea of what is available for the LEGO loving Mother in your life. We only scratched the surface of what Minifigs.me have to offer so why not head voer to their website and take a look for yourself.

The Carrot Crew – New Build-a-Minifigure Characters Available! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/the-carrot-crew-new-build-a-minifigure-characters-available/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/the-carrot-crew-new-build-a-minifigure-characters-available/#respond Sat, 17 Feb 2024 13:15:09 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=35681 Earlier in the week we shared a handy guide to the latest BaM (Build-a-Minifigure) characters, which includes a brand new Pink Brick person, Llama, Penguin, Clown and many more. One of the 6 characters had an awesome Carrot head piece, so when making the Minifigures I thought why not start the Carrot Crew?!

Past BaM parts, the green jumper and matching legs, were still available and made perfect sense to be the basis for the Carrot Crews‘ bodies. I popped random heads onto each one and gave two of them cups and one a teapot, maybe they are planning a Carrot Crew teaparty.

The Carrot Mascot pieces aren’t new but they are very cool, to see them at BaM Stations is nice, perfect for ‘growing’ your mascot and vegetable collection. Costing £5.99 for a pack of three is also great, so why not pop into your local store and grab them before they’re gone.

As with all things LEGO, nothing is set in stone, all the parts above can be swapped for entirely different bits. Genders can be switched, colour combinations can be whatever you make them, and accessories can be random. Remember to have fun and enjoy your LEGO experience.

If you like the look of these characters they are available now at most LEGO stores BaM Stations, although I would recommend phoning ahead to confirm before heading in and even getting a pack or two put by for you to avoid disappointment. You can either make them yourself or some stores conveniently bundle them into packs and are often located near the till area.

Let us know in the comments what you think of these new Minifigures and whether you collect them or not, we’d love to hear from you.

#SigfigScene Steps Back In Time This Week! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/sigfigscene-steps-back-in-time-this-week/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/sigfigscene-steps-back-in-time-this-week/#respond Tue, 06 Feb 2024 11:03:13 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=35454 Our weekly Wednesday activity, #SigfigScene, is becoming a staple for many people. It’s a chance to be creative and setup a scene for your Sigfig (signature figure)!

The first Wednesday in every month is themed, with previous putting being related to occasions that happen throughout the month, the theme for 7th February 2024 is Childhood. Cast your memories back to when you were younger, it could be when you were a child, a teenager or anything in between. Did you have a whacky 80s outfit, a hideous hair-do or other fashion faux pas?

You could go down the route and create a scene playing with your favourite toy, building LEGO or spending time with friends. The possibilities are endless so get creative and join in.

The usual guidelines apply:

LEGO Minifigure Hashtags & Activities To Join In With! https://www.thebrickpost.com/afol-tips/lego-minifigure-hashtags-activities-to-join-in-with/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/afol-tips/lego-minifigure-hashtags-activities-to-join-in-with/#respond Mon, 22 Jan 2024 16:01:04 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=34864 Social media is filled with exciting activities to take part in, from building MOCs and Mosaics to photography and more. Today we’re going to look at some of the Minifigure centric hashtags, what they involve and when they’re hosted.

Our senior editor, Patrick, often rounds up the months build challenges in a handy list, so I thought it would be a great idea to do the same with Minifigure based activities. So, grab your bag of Minifigures and your Sigfig and let’s dive in!

Each hashtag has at least two things in common, they happen weekly on the day in the title and they each require you to use the hashtag and tag the hosts. Others may require more so please head over to their accounts for more details. Clicking each hashtag title and the hosts names will take you to their Instagram accounts.

Jump to a day:

Monday:

#MinifigureMonday

@brick_beat

This hashtag is run by @brick_beat and shared here on the website. You can read more about it I using the year it released, piece count and more. Mark (host) loves his Minifigures and shows them off in a weekly post. You can get involved too by sharing yours every Monday, don’t forget to tag him and use the hashtag.

#LEGOMarvelMonday

@boombrickz@superhero_bricks

Kicking of with a relatively new comer, this hashtag has fast become a weekly staple. As you can probably guess it focuses on LEGO Marvel and asks you to grab a Marvel Minifigure (or set) and photograph it. Most people like to pop a Superhero Minifigure in a scene and add a short story to it.

#MinifigMosaic

@virginia_bricks@johnbtoys@brick_beat

Whenever the word Mosaic is uttered you may think of one particular person in the LEGO community and you’d be right for doing so. @Virginia_Bricks is one of the hosts behind the incredible #MosaicsOnMonday activity. Although #MinifigMosaic is an off-shoot of it, the theme does focus on Minifigures. If you’re struggling with inspiration for a Mosaic, then grabbing a Minifigure may give you that much needed spark, hence #MinifigMosaic. It’s not limited to just Mondays either, you can post any day or the week.

#MinifigMugMonday

@thebrickbabe

Another simple yet awesome hashtag to do is hosted by @thebrickbabe. Grab a Minifigure, grab and Mug, take a photo and post. There are quite a few LEGO mugs & cups to choose from so mix it up.

Tuesday:

#FigtographyTuesday

@lets_brick_it@boombrickz

Is hashtag gets you out & about, as the main pull for this activity is being outdoors. As a LEGO fan myself I’m often couped-up inside building, so at least once a week it’s nice to get out and snap some pictures. It’s open to any theme and Minifigure so have fun with it!

#TukTukTuesday

@kt_and_lego@holybrickstuds @brickinintheusa

Do you have a LEGO Tuk Tuk? Pose your Sigfig, or any other Minifigure, with it and take a photo, post it on Tuesday, done! The hosts and the many partakers have great fun creating scenes focused around the LEGO Tuk Tuk set and MOCs.

Wednesday:

#SigfigScene

@thebrickpost@brick_beat@virginia_bricks

#SigfigScene has been going for awhile now and is hosted myself here at The Brick Post along with two good friends, @brick_beat & @virginia_bricks. It’s a single concept, make a LEGO representation of yourself, pop into a brick-built scene (set or MOC), take a photo, share on social media using #SigfigScene, collaborate with @sigfigscene on Instagram and tag the hosts. The first Wednesday in every month is themed, so follow us to stay up-to-date.

Thursday:

#LEGOThemeThursdays

@reddsbricks@angela_thebrickjedi@brixish

This is a new one for me personally but it looks great fun. The premise is simple with a new the every month, January is ‘What makes you happy‘. Although it’s not Minifigure exclusive, the majority or entries do focus on a character. It happens every Thursday and with a theme so broad you can really get stuck into it and use your imagination to create something heartfelt, cool, whacky, or highlighting a message.

Friday:

#LEGOFriendFridays

@roslederman

This is a fairly new hashtag to the list and is a great idea. It asks you to snap a photo of your Sigfig with a Friend. It’s a nice way to show appreciation to someone that has helped or been there for you, makes you laugh or just a good friend.

Saturday:

#LEGOStarWarsSaturday

@brickmcbricksworth@lets_brick_it

This is dedicated to LEGO Star Wars, if you hadn’t of guessed already. I like this one as I personally like putting characters in random or unlikely situations. Others pop their Minifigures in a Star Wars set and recreate a scene from the movies/TV shows. Whatever floats your boat, this is a great activity to take part in.

#LEGOHaturday

@inappropriatepiratebricks@adrian_c308@lego_dad_and_the_kids

As the title suggests, it’s Hat themed and asks you to snap your Sigfig or other Minifigure with a Hat on. I love this activity as I usually go over the top with it and do something bonkers. I’ve come to realise that I need more LEGO Hats in my arsenal!

Sunday:

#LEGOBodySwapSundays

@brightonbricks

This hashtag is very imaginative and the premise is simple – grab any two Minifigures and swap their bodies! The outcomes are often hilarious and make for some cool, whacky and unexpected combinations. Give it a go, which Minifigures will you choose?

We hope this list serves you well, it makes for an awesome week’s worth of activities, content and most importantly FUN. Please check back regularly as we will be updating it with new activities.

If we’ve missed any Minifigure centric hashtags off the list or you have one you’d like considered for the list please get in contact with us via Instagram.
