New LEGO Speed Champions & LEGO Harry Potter Polybags Revealed! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-lego-speed-champions-lego-harry-potter-polybags-revealed/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-lego-speed-champions-lego-harry-potter-polybags-revealed/#respond Wed, 31 Jan 2024 17:53:31 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=35275 Two new LEGO Polybags have been revealed, thanks to German retailer Lucky Bricks!

The first is a brand new LEGO Harry Potter set, Draco in the Forbidden Forest (30677), it’s taken from the scene where Draco (and other students) attend detention in the Forbidden Forest. Inside is a small brick-built landscape along with a Draco Malfoy Minifigure.

The other is a new addition to the Mini-scale cars theme in the form of the McLaren Formula 1 Car (30683). This one interests me as it not only looks smart, it is one of the first mini LEGO cars of its kind in recent years.

These will be available from 1st March from Lucky Bricks themselves along with your preferred LEGO Polybag retailer. Check out the images below and don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments section.

McLaren Formula 1 Car (30683):

Closer Look: Winter Fun VIP Add-On Pack (40610) polybag! https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/closer-look-winter-fun-vip-add-on-pack-40610-polybag/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/blog/closer-look-winter-fun-vip-add-on-pack-40610-polybag/#respond Tue, 19 Dec 2023 17:47:54 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=33909 In recent years, LEGO has started to supply the VIP Add-On Pack polybags on as a GWP on a somewhat regular basis, with this one being number 10 in the series. This one is currently available with orders from LEGO with a spending threshold of €50 (although it has run out in some regions it appears).

These bags all center around a theme. This time it’s wintertime fun, so there’s minifigure accesoires for this theme a plenty.

This is such a good pack! Including extra’s for small parts there’s 157 parts included. I’m a fan of Sand Green and Olive Green for vegetation, which takes up quite a lot of the parts in here.

There’s the paint rollers, radar dishes and Trans-Yellow heads for making lanterns, parts for a BBQ and sausages to grill on it. A guitar for getting around the campfire and sing Wonderwall (or just Christmas carols), white round bricks and bars to roast marshmallows and so much more to post your minifigs, for instance for a (festive) sigfigscene. These polybags seem to have a certain standard composition. Animals are present in most (if not all) of them. And here there’s a Dark Orange squirrel included.

But like I already suggested, the vegetation included is especially exceptional. The Olive Green pine trees have only been in one set before and the Sand Green limb elements are relatively new so it’s a great pick to have a few included.

If you have the opportunity to pick this polybag up with your LEGO shopping I’d definitely recommend it! It’s a great way to expand your part collection with some very useful and sometimes rare parts.

Did you pick up this polybag? We’d love to see your creations! Use the parts in tomorrows festive sigfig scene and be sure to tag the @sigfigscene account on Instagram!

A Handful Of Polybags – LEGO City, Friends, Disney, Creator 3-in-1 And More! https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/a-handful-of-polybags-lego-city-friends-disney-creator-3-in-1-and-more/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/a-handful-of-polybags-lego-city-friends-disney-creator-3-in-1-and-more/#respond Fri, 10 Mar 2023 12:03:36 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=25569 Polybags are a great way to get into LEGO, they’re usually affordable, fun, and filled with cool parts and Minifigures.

They’re sometimes quite hard to get hold of, you’d think a LEGO product would be sold in a LEGO store, but nope, unless it’s part of a promotion LEGO don’t actually stock Polybags themselves. Some Supermarkets get ahold of them but you’d need to be lucky and quick to get your hands on them, with no set release date they just show-up.

I have found the perfect place to grab new and old LEGO Polybags here in the UK, a website I’ve used for many years now, www.brick-a-brac-uk.com!

Here are a handful that I’ve recently picked up, each with a short review of what’s included.

Dr Strange Interdimensional Portal (30652):

Purchase here

This small set packs a lot in, not just a Dr Strange Minifigure, that comes with the new moulded Cape, but a ton of cool parts such as the transparent orange Portal elements, dark tan bricks, tan SNOT bricks, and a few other cool parts. For under £5 this is one of the most popular Polybags to release in 2023 so far.

Moana’s Dolphin Cove (30646):

Purchase here

If you’re an avid visitor to the website you’ll know that I’m not the biggest fan of Mini-dolls so this set wasn’t high on my to-get list. Saying that the build and parts on offer here are great, from a pearlescent blue slide piece to some greenery, there is even a Pua (pig) and Dolphin figure included, making it a nice Polybag to pickup.

Creator Panda Bear 3-in-1 (30641):

Purchase here

The Creator 3-in-1 series of sets and Polybags have always peaked my interest, not because they have multiple builds, but the fact that you usually get more inside the bag than other Polybags, meaning more Brick for your buck!

With a ton of black & white elements the set comes with a variety of bricks from slopes and plates to curved 1x bricks and quarter-circle tiles. The Panda also looks kind of cute with the open mouth and shoot of Bamboo ready to be chomped on.

Dog Park & Scooter (30639):

Purchase here

Inside this City Polybag there isn’t a lot to look at, the small tree is basic and the half-circle plate it’s on is bare. The real draw of the set is the Minifigure and the Husky Dog figure, oh and perhaps the Scooter, if you haven’t got one yet then this is a great investment.

The Minifigure has nice printing on but the torso and face, with an alternative ‘quietly confident‘ expression on the opposite side. I must say the moulded helmet and hair piece is a nice touch and a welcomed addition to the spares box, perfect for MOCs.

Skate Ramp 2-in-1 (30633):

Purchase here

Again this one includes a Mini-doll, being Friends you would expect it to. The Skate Park build is pretty smart, with the small-scale half-pipe, grinding bar and ramp. Also the added Skakeboard Craft build is a nice touch, with the Paintbrush piece and other accessories.

It also comes with a cute little Gecko figure, in orange, it’s an odd thing to include but I’m not moaning, it’ll go with the other Animals in my spares for future projects.

We have loads more LEGO Polybags to review so watch this space, including LEGO Harry Potter Quidditch Practice (30651)!

Thank you for taking the time to read these handy, shorter, reviews, we hope it gives you a useful insight into what to expect from each Polybag, don’t forget you can grab all the latest ones from www.brick-a-brac-uk.com.

New LEGO Polybags Coming In 2023! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-lego-polybags-coming-in-2023/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-lego-polybags-coming-in-2023/#respond Sun, 08 Jan 2023 13:41:16 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=23977 2023 is shaping up to be a great years for LEGO Polybags, going by the ones revealed recently which include:

  • Star Wars
  • Monkie Kid
  • Friends
  • City
  • Technic
  • Ninjago
  • DUPLO
  • Creator

Polybags are a great way to introduce fans, young & old, to a theme they may not be into, giving them a small taster of what larger sets have to offer. They are also way more affordable starting at just a few pounds, or even free if LEGO have a GWP (gift with purchase) promotion on.

Other places that usually offer Polybags are LEGO.com or LEGO stores, LEGOLAND resorts stores, and Supermarkets. Here in the UK ASDA is a great place to pickup the latest LEGO polybag treat.

Many of these are already on sale at Toys R Us in Canada, but sadly there is no set release date for these so you’ll have to keep an eye open for them when out & about.

Below are just a handful that we can expect to see floating about LEGO stores and Supermarkets soon.

There are a few stand out builds from this bunch and that is a micro Batmobile based on the upcoming The Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson.

Also high on our list is the latest addition of LEGO Minecraft that features Alex and a Sea Turtle.

We also see more:

  • LEGO City
  • LEGO Friends
  • DOTS
  • LEGO Ninjago
  • DUPLO
  • Creator sets.

These will hopefully be readily available from the 1st January and in the usual places such as Supermarkets and other Toy Stores, fingers crossed LEGO actually stock them in their official stores for everyone to grab.
