LEGO Prices Set To Increase! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-prices-set-to-increase/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-prices-set-to-increase/#respond Thu, 02 Jun 2022 10:06:08 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=19154 Prices of LEGO products are set to be go up due to various factors and increases in materials and transport.

At the moment it seems that the larger and more complex sets are speculated to rise in price and be the worse affected. For more details please read the below statement issued by LEGO. We expect more details on this matter soon, so watch this space.

Official statement:

The current global economic challenges of increased raw material and operating costs are impacting many businesses.

Putting consumers first is at the heart of what we do as a company, and for some time, we have absorbed these costs to keep pricing stable. However, as these costs have continued to rapidly rise, we have taken the decision to increase the price on some of our sets. This increase will come into effect in August and September.

The increase will differ depending on the set and prices will change on around a quarter of the portfolio. On some sets we will not alter price, on others there will be a single digit increase and on larger, more complex sets the percentage increase will be higher.

We will continue to work to ensure our products offer great value and full recognise how important this is to our fans and everyone who love our products.

Official LEGO Statement Regarding RRP Pricing! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/official-lego-statement-regarding-rrp-pricing/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/official-lego-statement-regarding-rrp-pricing/#respond Wed, 22 Sep 2021 22:10:33 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=13584 The LEGO Group have released an official statement regarding the LEGO set price increases in Western Europe.

The main point to take away from this statement is that LEGO have made the RRP more consistent throughout many Countries for 2022 with more sets NOT seeing price changes.

Of course there will be some sets that see the RRP fluctuate slightly depending on the set and country. North America will not see any of these changes.

Take a moment to read through the statement issued by LEGO below.

Official statement:

The LEGO Group has no plans to increase the recommended retail price (RRP) of its portfolio of products.

In Western Europe, we’ve taken steps to make RRP pricing more consistent across different countries from 2022. The RRP of the majority of LEGO sets will not change as a result of this. However, on a small selection of sets the RRP will either go down or up depending on the set and the country.

There are currently no plans to make such changes in other markets.

It’s important to note that the final price charged to shoppers is set by retailers, not the LEGO Group.
