LEGO Marvel: The Multiverse Saga – Potential Sets and Minifigures! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-marvel-the-multiverse-saga-potential-sets-and-minifigures/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-marvel-the-multiverse-saga-potential-sets-and-minifigures/#respond Sun, 24 Jul 2022 09:19:16 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=20408 San Diego Comic-Con is fully underway and already we’ve seen a whole lot of reveals, this time it isn’t LEGO related, or is it?!

Marvel have revealed their plans on the future of the MCU, all the way up to Phase 6, which includes a ton of movies and even more TV shows, brought to us by Disney+. But does this also mean we’ll be getting LEGO Marvel sets based on these outings over the next few years?

Firstly, the movie to end Phase 4 is due out this November with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, we know already there will be LEGO sets based on this.

In the animation front we have some awesome additions coming, with Spider-Man: Freshman Year introducing some known and unknown villains such as Butane the Pyromaniac, Chameleon, Dr. Octavius, Speed Demon, and Scorpion, also making an appearance are Harry Osborn and Amadeus Cho.

This next one is a personal favourite of mine, What If…? season 2 will pluck a selection of new scenarios and characters and drop them in new situations and ask the question, What If…?. It has also been said that some of the previous Heroes and Villains will be returning in the form of  Captain Carter, Steve Rogers as Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor Ragnarok’s Hela, Young Star-Lord and Ego, The Scarlet Witch, and Mandarin. This season is going to be epic!

Lastly, X-Men ’97 has been revealed and the new series will feature most of the original characters including Rogue, Beast, Gambit, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Storm, Jubilee, and Cyclops but are now lead by Magneto. Other characters that will also be in the show are Cable, Bishop, Forge, Morph, Nightcrawler, Mr. Sinister, Bolivar Trask and the Hellfire Club with Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw.

All of the above are open to becoming sets and probably most importantly Minifigures. With the rumour of a second LEGO Marvel CMF coming we can only that some of this awesome characters will make it into the mix.

Movies and live action TV shows on the other hand offer even more to be excited about with potential LEGO sets and Minifigures, with Kang the Conqueror, an updated Blade, and so many more.

A lot will be releasing starting February 2023, including:

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17, 2023)
  • Secret Invasion (Spring 2023)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 (May 5, 2023)
  • Echo (Summer 2023)
  • Loki Season 2 (Summer 2023)
  • The Marvels (July 28, 2023)
  • Blade (November 3, 2023)
  • Ironheart (Fall 2023)
  • Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Winter 2023)
  • Daredevil: Born Again (Spring 2024)
  • Captain America: New World Order (May 3, 2024)
  • Thunderbolts (July 26, 2024)

When it comes to Phase 6, which starts November 2024 with the likes of a Fantastic Four movie coming 8th November 2024, ending with two Avengers movies, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty 2nd May 2025 and Avengers: Secret Wars 7th November 2025.

The news of Fantastic Four alone is enough to get any LEGO fans imagination running, but to have the entire lineup from the two Avengers movies as potential sets and Minifigures is incredible and I personally cannot wait to see what LEGO produce.

The final Avengers movie, Secret Wars, was a comic-crossover miniseries from 2015 and involves the destruction of the Marvel Universe with all Universes combining to fight each other on Battleworld. Although a ton of characters are killed off, we expect the MCU to go the same way.

Also coming in Phase 6 are eight more TV shows and a plethora of Movies that have yet to be revealed, again leading to massive potential of what LEGO can do. We do know that Phases 4 through to 6 will be named the Multiverse Saga.

What do you want to see from LEGO come out of all these announcements, bigger sets, more CMFs? Let us know via the comments below.

A 14ft Brick-Built LEGO Bowser Will Appear At SDCC 2022! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/a-14ft-brick-built-lego-bowser-will-appear-at-sdcc-2022/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/a-14ft-brick-built-lego-bowser-will-appear-at-sdcc-2022/#respond Tue, 19 Jul 2022 07:20:18 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=20327 A couple of days ago LEGO teased something big for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it has now been revealed that a giant brick-built Bowser will appear at the event!

Located at the Nintendo booth, the 14ft tall Mighty Bowser figure, complete with moving parts and sound effects, will be the latest in a line of massive builds containing a staggering 700,000 bricks.

Something of this size just doesn’t happen, it took a team of LEGO Master Builders a whopping 3,290 hours to build this impressive life-sized version of Bowser, inspired by the upcoming set which contains a slight smaller version.

If you attend SDCC 2022 please do check out this incredible feat of LEGO engineering and take a few snaps, we’d love to see it!

New Comic-Con LEGO Exclusives Revealed! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-comic-con-lego-exclusives-revealed/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-comic-con-lego-exclusives-revealed/#respond Thu, 01 Oct 2020 12:53:34 +0000 http://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=6217 With this year’s Comic-Con season put on hold due to Covid-19 we’ve so far seen two sets released, US wide, LEGO Star Wars Bespin and LEGO DC Wonder Woman.

Today sees two more being added to that list, first spotted on the  LEGO Instructions app of all places.

Both sets were again set to be released during this year’s San Diego and New York Comic-Cons.

The first one follows in the same suit as the previous Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel sets, small display style pieces with 2 or 3 Minifigures. Taskmaster’s Ambush (77907) consists of 230 pieces. It features Taskmaster’s ATV and Minifigures of Black Widow, Red Guardian and Taskmaster himself.

The second set is a miniature  frigate from Star Wars. Nebulon-B (77904) consists of 459 pieces and is mounted on a small display plinth. It comes complete with an Empire Strikes Back 40th Anniversary plaque.

There isn’t any news yet on where and when these will be available, but just like the previous two exclusives we presume North America only, which is a shame for the rest of the World wanting to add these to their collections.
