LEGO World Play Day Store Gift Revealed! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-world-play-day-store-gift-revealed/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-world-play-day-store-gift-revealed/#respond Thu, 12 Oct 2023 16:39:45 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=31818 Thanks to a helpful reader we’ve gotten a picture of the parts pack LEGO has been giving out in brand stores today. The brick bag was given out to celebrate World Play Day 2023. The promotion was limited to a few countries as LEGO stated in their press release:

Selected LEGO Stores in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, North America and our flagship stores in China will be handing out free play mission packs on the day.

For more on LEGO‘s World Play Day Celebrations, check our previous post.

As we can see LEGO provided a nice variety of parts, with SNOT bricks, wedge plates, windows and standard bricks. No really exclusive stuff but still a nice freebie to get I’d say!

Did you pick up this special brick bag today? Share your thoughts in the comments! Or even better show us your creations by tagging us on social media!

New Figs On The Block: Unicorn Knight, Skeleton Pirate, Beach Guy and More! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-figs-on-the-block-unicorn-knight-skeleton-pirate-beach-guy-and-more/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/new-figs-on-the-block-unicorn-knight-skeleton-pirate-beach-guy-and-more/#respond Sun, 02 Apr 2023 13:27:20 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=26021 Brand new Minifigure characters have started showing up at BaM (build a minifigure) Stations Worldwide and with them an eclectic mix of new parts. The BaM station is fast becoming the place to grab these exciting LEGO characters and on quite a regular basis too!

The last lot that were available were again a mixture of styles & themes, including the Orange Brick Guy, Rock Star, Fisherman, Panda Guy and More, click here for a quick refresher.

Thankfully my local store isn’t too far and I can pop in a few times during the month to check if new parts have been added, also joining several LEGO related Facebook Groups help with keeping up-to-date with what is available. The new BaM characters have been released and are available in most stores Worldwide. We have given them random and made-up names so it’s easier to identify them, also the accessories can be switched for any you like. Here is a closer look at them:

Unicorn Knight:

  • New Unicorn head
  • Lion Knight torso
  • Lion Knight Shield

Ice Cream Guy:

  • Blue Ice Cream Head/Hair
  • Blue torso with Brown arms
  • Transparent Blue Ice Lolly

Beach Guy:

  • Brown wavey hair
  • Beach ready torso
  • Teal shorts
  • Silver/Chrome fish

Skeleton Pirate:

  • New Skeleton torso, double-sided
  • Black sword
  • Pirate hat

Gamer Girl:

  • New skirt
  • Console controller
  • Rock Tour torso

Lion Knight:

  • Lion Knight torso
  • Lion Knights shield
  • Helmet

As you can see there have been quite a few characters added to the BaM lineup, with the Unicorn Knight being perhaps the most popular and sought-after, especially the torso and shield. As with all things LEGO nothing is set in stone, all the parts above can be swapped for entirely different bits. Genders can be switched, colour combinations can be whatever you make them, and accessories can be random. Remember to have fun and enjoy your LEGO experience.

If you like the look of these characters they are available now at most Certified LEGO Stores, although I would recommend phoning ahead to confirm before heading in and even getting a pack or two put by for you to avoid disappointment. You can either make them yourself or some stores conveniently bundle them into packs and are often located near the till area.

Let us know in the comments what you think of these new Minifigures and whether you collect them or not, we love hearing from you.

LEGO Passport Program Relaunches With New Stamps To Collect! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-passport-program-relaunches-with-new-stamps-to-collect/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-passport-program-relaunches-with-new-stamps-to-collect/#respond Fri, 03 Mar 2023 11:31:12 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=25399 The LEGO Store is a fascinating place full of excitement & wonder and of course LEGO sets, there is one activity that very few know of, LEGO Passports!

These Passports are great fun and allow you to collect a variety of stamps, however the service has been very hit & miss recently but that is about to change as LEGO have revamped the in-store feature and with it brand new Passports and Stamps to collect.

Pop along to your local LEGO store and ask about a member of staff about the Passports, the small booklet is free and collecting stamps is easy, they’ll be a mixture of stamps exclusive to stores, special stamps for in-store events, set releases and seasonal activities such as Birthdays.

LEGO VIP Coasters GWP – Closer Look! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-vip-coasters-gwp-closer-look/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-vip-coasters-gwp-closer-look/#respond Mon, 07 Nov 2022 20:30:26 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=22462 From November 1st to November 11th there is a new LEGO VIP GWP available in stores only, with a minimum spend of £65, these are the brilliant LEGO Drinks Coasters.  These join the VIP Fleece Blanket and the two new LEGO VIP Add-on packs (Fun & Funky and Winter Wonderland).

As you can see from the packaging photo above these look very smart, when I got these I initially thought they would be made of cardboard but I was surprised to see that they are actually made of a nice rubber type of material, which are definitely ideal for using as drinks coasters for both hot and cold drinks.

You get 4 in a pack and they are dual-sided with all different types of LEGO expressions, I particularly like the cheeky tongue out and scared face. I always have a hot beverage, coffee, whenever I build and this is the perfect companion.

I cannot recommend these enough, quickly get to your local LEGO store, in fact run there now, and get yours before they are no longer available!
