The recently released LEGO Icons Transformers Bumblebee (10338) set, sees the funny yet iconic yellow character come to life in LEGO form. But the transformation process is a little more tricky than just moving a few parts around. Thanks to the set’s designer, Samuel Liltorp Johnson, we have a handy guide on exactly how to switch between Car and Bumblebee and back again.

The set is inspired by Hasbro’s Transformers and recreates the loveable character Bumblebee, which can be displayed in both vehicle and robot form. The 950 piece set will be rolling out 1st July to all LEGO brand stores and online. It recreates the classic style Bumblebee most fans remember and just like its onscreen counterpart it too can transform. With the ability to switch between Robot and Volkwagon Beetle, you have a hard choice to make on how it’s displayed, although standing proud alongside Optimus Prime will no doubt be most people’s choice.
