This one is currently available with orders from LEGO with a spending threshold of €50 (although it has run out in some regions it appears).

These bags all center around a theme. This time it’s wintertime fun, so there’s minifigure accesoires for this theme a plenty.

This is such a good pack! Including extra’s for small parts there’s 157 parts included. I’m a fan of Sand Green and Olive Green for vegetation, which takes up quite a lot of the parts in here.

There’s the paint rollers, radar dishes and Trans-Yellow heads for making lanterns, parts for a BBQ and sausages to grill on it. A guitar for getting around the campfire and sing Wonderwall (or just Christmas carols), white round bricks and bars to roast marshmallows and so much more to post your minifigs, for instance for a (festive) sigfigscene. These polybags seem to have a certain standard composition. Animals are present in most (if not all) of them. And here there’s a Dark Orange squirrel included.

But like I already suggested, the vegetation included is especially exceptional. The Olive Green pine trees have only been in one set before and the Sand Green limb elements are relatively new so it’s a great pick to have a few included.

If you have the opportunity to pick this polybag up with your LEGO shopping I’d definitely recommend it! It’s a great way to expand your part collection with some very useful and sometimes rare parts.

Did you pick up this polybag? We’d love to see your creations! Use the parts in tomorrows festive sigfig scene and be sure to tag the @sigfigscene account on Instagram!

LEGO Wintertime Carriage Ride (40603) GWP Review https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/lego-wintertime-carriage-ride-40603-gwp-review/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/reviews/lego-wintertime-carriage-ride-40603-gwp-review/#respond Sun, 10 Dec 2023 09:58:52 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=33557 A few days ago I reviewed the first of the current Gift With Purchases, Christmas Decor Set (40604). Today it’s time for the other. This is ‘Wintertime Carriage Ride (40603)‘. The spending threshold for this set is €150. It’s announced to be available until December 14th unless stock runs out sooner.

To be fair, I don’t think I should do a regular review, scoring pieces and building techniques out of 10 for this set. I quite like the set but it’s not great on these aspects. So I’d say an average score would be too low and this is an example for the total being better than the sum of its parts.

The set contains 152 pieces. The horse is the rarest piece in this set (included in 3 sets in total) and the newer flat lid for treasure chests is my first set getting it in. The ornamental carriage wheels can be interesting for some but they’ve been around for quite a while. Other than that there’s no bulk of pieces, or anything noteworthy among the rest.

The build process is fast and furious. There’s really not much to it and I was thinking to myself: ‘is this it?’. But you end up with a beautiful horse drawm carriage audiences of all ages can enjoy. It’s suitable for play for children and display for adults. And that’s a quality we don’t often see in sets. Most often one of the two is sacrificed for the other.

There are 3 minifigures included in the set, a driver and 2 passengers. The driver has a carrot for the horse and the passengers have scarves around their neck. So for me this seems to be extra on most GWP’s and makes up for the earlier mentioned shortcomings in pieces and building process.

So overall this is a great GWP to me. In the Christmas spirit I’d happily overlook some details and just enjoy the set as a whole. If you plan on spending this kind of money on LEGO in the near future I’d recommend doing so while this set is available, I’m not sure there will be a better promotion this month.

LEGO Winter Fun VIP Add-On Pack (40610) Revealed! https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-winter-fun-vip-add-on-pack-40610-revealed/ https://www.thebrickpost.com/news/lego-winter-fun-vip-add-on-pack-40610-revealed/#respond Sat, 04 Nov 2023 06:52:53 +0000 https://www.thebrickpost.com/?p=32323 Has the next LEGO VIP Add-on Pack been revealed? According to LEGO Singapore the new pack is an updated Winter themed one  and could possibly the last VIP polybag of the year!

The Winter Fun VIP Add-On Pack (40610) comprises of 142 pieces and it will most likely be available in December with purchases of £45 ($/€50) just like previous ones. Please note that this one is indeed different to the current Christmas Fun VIP Add-On Pack (40609) which is currently available as a GWP.

The parts in the Winter pack look interesting with a nice selection of themed parts and new coloured pieces, the olive shade of tree has grabbed my attention alogn with a few other parts.

The white house picture isn’t included, it’s simply there to accentuate the elements within the polybag. Take a look below at the pack below and let us know via the comments section what you think.
