Both are done by the same builder, are fully motorized and based on a mill. I like them both and just can’t pick one over the other. Furthermore these mills are actually built what I prefer over digital renders.

So the builder is Andreas Brick, based on his Ideas profile a 19 year old builder who has been building for 16 years. According to the stories on Ideas his grandfather was a miller and at young age when he got a box of old LEGO he built his first mill.

Fully Motorized Watermill

The watermill is where grain is milled into flour. The motorized functions include a rotating wheel on the outside to simulate the mill being powered by water. On the inside the grinding millstone is also a motorized function as is a grain elevator transporting bags to supply the materials to the millstone. All motorized functions can be best viewed in the video below. The model includes about 2500 pieces as well as 4 minifigures and some animals.

Windmill & Workshop (Fully Motorized)

The second entry is the windmill. This is a rather nostalgic one for me as it’s very similar to the mill in my village growing up. This mill together with the workshop show a wood processing mill. With the motorized functions running the different saws included in the build. A video of these features can be watched on the Ideas project page. The model includes 2500-3000 pieces as well as 4 minifigures and a few animals.

We would like to wish Andreas Brick the best of luck in gaining the required 10k support. If you like the look of this ideas and would like to give your support, please use the links below. Registration is free to LEGO Ideas and only takes a minute, so head over there now and do your part!
